She was a Laboratory Technician at Forbes Hospital and a member of the Newlonsburg Presbyterian Church, Murrysville for many years. She was a longtime volunteer for Meals on Wheels and walking dogs at Animal Friends, Pittsburgh. Among Ruth's many joys were traveling the world with friends and family, relaxing by the water and especially spending time and vacationing with her extended family. NASTOLD ALFRED Age 80, of Ohio Twp., passed away at West Penn Hospital Feb. 13, 2016. He was born in Uttenweiler, Germany April 19, 1935, to the late Paula Grab and Joseph Nastold. Alfred was trained as a Master Baker in Germany and formerly owned the Wells Bakery for 20 years in Dormont which is now called the Potomac Bakery. He then worked as a Baker for Western Penitentiary for 20 years. Along with his wife Nancy they spent the off seasons in Sarasota, Florida. Alfred is survived by his wife, Nancy Ingram Nastold; two sons, Scott (Nancy) A. Nastold of Bethel Park and John R. Nastold of Dormont; a grandchild, Jennifer Loren Nastold. He was also predeceased by a sister, Paula Traub. DOPIRAK GEORGE Of North Huntingdon, died on Saturday, February 13, 2016. He was born in 1924, to the late Suzanne (Kovalyak) and Paul Doperak. George was the devoted husband of the late Elsie (Woynik) Dopirak; and beloved father of Tom Dopirak (Kathy D'Aurelio) and Terri (Arup) Mitra. George is also survived by his dear longtime companion, Rose Michalov. His grandchildren, Priya and Ayon Mitra will always remember his unconditional love. The youngest of nine children, George relied on the comfort and support of his late siblings, Ann (Walt) Smith, Joe (Frannie) Dopirak, Andy (Mary), John (Mary), Julia, Mike (Ann), Paul (Agnes) and Pete (Ann) Doperak. Lifelong friends Paul and Ann Stolinski have also always been there for our family. George was the co-owner of the former Hi-Way Tux Shop in North Huntingdon. George trained as a tailor under the GI Bill. George and his brother Joe's tux shop and dry-cleaning business was a local institution for over 40 years. Our family has been deeply moved to hear how many people's lives George touched. ZORN WAYNE R. Our devoted husband, father and Poppy, Wayne R. Zorn, 62, of Hopewell Twp., passed away unexpectedly, Friday February 12, 2016. Born February 22, 1953, in Sewickley, he was a son of the late Gerard and Mary (Kubera) Zorn. Wayne retired as an electrician from IBEW Local #712 and he was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Hopewell Twp. His grandchildren consumed his entire life, and he was the number one fan at all their sporting events. Wayne was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting with his brothers and nephews. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 39 years, Cheryl (Zimmerman) Zorn; son and daughter-in-law, John and Julie Zorn; daughter and son-in-law, Deanna and Jason Krotec; his beloved grandchildren, Kazia, Adin, Kingston and Kruz; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Gary and Judy Zorn and Ron and Kathy Zorn; his brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Mickey and Susan Zimmerman and Tracy Zimmerman; and many loving nieces and nephews.
