STANKO DOLORES VIRGINIA DOLL (WHITE) Age 88, passed away on Monday, August 3, 2015, of Robinson Township. She was born August 7, 1926, to Charles and Edna (Blumling) White in Stowe Township. Dolores was preceded in death by her loving husband of 66 years, John J. Stanko; parents; and brother, Charles W. White. She is survived by her six children, Sharon L. Martin (Max Gilbert) of Little Rock, Arkansas, John M. (Brenda) of Lexington, Kentucky, Debra A. Meyer (Raymond) of Pittsburgh, Gregory P. (Maryellen) of Carnegie, Keith C. (Tina) of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Lauren M. Stanko of Ross Township; 16 grandchildren, Brett, Jonathan, Shelley, John W., Justin, Adam, Virginia, Tonya, Ashley, Peter, Kathryn, Evan, Heather, Braden, Ryan and Rachel; and nine great- grandchildren; a brother, Melvin R. White of Langhorne, PA; as well as many nieces and nephews. Dolores was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and treasured friend to all. A consummate mother and homemaker, Dolores was an excellent baker and cook. She was well-known for her Christmas cookies; relatives, neighbors, and friends anticipated the delivery of their tin every year. She loved holidays. Thanksgiving was especially dear to her, because above all, she cherished the reunion of her children and grandchildren at the family home. She was also an avid Pittsburgh sports fan and enjoyed watching the Steelers and Pirates on TV. She was a member of the Ken Mawr United Presbyterian Church. Dolores was a selfless, unpretentious, loving, and generous woman and will be greatly missed. Family will receive friends from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. on FRIDAY, August 7, 2015, at the McDERMOTT FUNERAL HOME, INC., 334 Forest Grove Road in Kennedy Twp., where the Funeral Service will be held SATURDAY at 10:00 a.m. Dolores will be laid to rest in Mt.
