PUSPOKI OLGA TERENYI Age 84, of Level Green, formerly of Falls Church, VA passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2015, in the Golden Heights Personal Care Home, Penn Twp. Olga was born on September 9, 1930, in Chalfant, the daughter of the late Fritz and Catherine Terenyi. Olga retired from Westinghouse Corp. in Washington, DC. Olga loved the ocean, traveling and watching movies. Olga was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Puspoki, in 2005. She is survived by her niece, Marjorie, and Jerome Hoehn and their children, Heidi White and Heather Hoehn, Lorin Goulart and husband, Bill and children, Bonnie Gilmore and children; a brother-in-law, John Laufman and children. BEDNAR JOSEPH MICHAEL Joseph Michael Bednar, of Robinson Township, died July 22, 2015, after a battle with cancer. He was born November 26, 1926, in McKees Rocks, the middle son of the late John Bednar and Mary Frisch Bednar. He was preceded in death by brother, Raymond Bednar; wife, Helen Brettschneider Bednar; daughter, Diane A. Bednar; and companion of the late Ruth Geisler. Mr. Bednar was a World War II veteran, having served in the U.S. Army, and a longtime employee of U.S. Steel in McKees Rocks. He was active in his community and at one time served as a member of the Robinson Township Zoning Board. Mr. Bednar was also a member of St. Malachy Church parish in Kennedy township. He and his wife both participated in the church's bingo games, Joe volunteered with set-up and game calling and Helen played. Mr. Bednar combined his love of Pittsburgh sports teams and of traveling and was able to attend two Super Bowl games in the Steelers' heyday. At home, he enjoyed gardening, reading and holiday entertaining with family. Mr. Bednar is survived by daughter, Janice (Michael) Sonnett of Coraopolis; two grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter; brother, John Bednar of Kennedy; as well as the family of his companion, Ruth.
