JOHN HARTWELL HILLMAN IV "HART" Unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 5, 2020, age 65, formerly of Edgewood. Beloved father of John H. Hillman, V (Ashley Close), Hannah E. Hillman, and Sarah M. Hillman; brother of Annette Hillman and Robert Hillman; partner of 18 years to Kerry McComb; also survived by a niece and a nephew. Hart worked as an investment banker before enjoying a second career as a criminal defense attorney. He worked at the Allegheny County Public Defender's office before going into private practice. Hart was known to be rather eccentric, a lover of people, a profound collector, and he enjoyed a good project. He liked to regale his friends and family by telling incredible and hilarious stories. MARY LOUISE BLACK Mary Louise “Lou” Black (nee Moore) passed away Friday, February 7th in her home in Wexford, PA. Mary Lou was born May 1, 1941 in Pittsburgh, PA to John and Clara Marie Moore (nee Donahoe). She was raised in the South Hills of Pittsburgh, attending St. Bernard's Elementary, and Dormont High School class of 1959. After earning a degree in Fine Arts and Business from Slippery Rock University, Mary Lou enjoyed a career as an executive assistant at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh, a division manager for Sears, and a district representative for the Mattel toy company. After raising her family, Mary Lou developed a successful career as a real estate agent, broker and appraiser in the Wexford and Cranberry Township area. Mary Lou had a kind and generous heart, especially when it came to animals, providing a warm and caring home to many strays over the years. Mary Lou's number one love was always her family. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Dr. Paul Black; a son Matthew (Tiffany) of Natrona Heights, PA; a daughter Stephanie Hayes (Jon) of Cape Girardeau, MO; and three grandchildren, Caleb, Emma, and Henry. She is also survived by two sisters, Pat Huecker and Karyn Moore; and one brother, Thomas Moore; as well as many nieces and nephews. Mary Lou will be remembered by her family and friends as a wonderful person who provided them much love and support throughout the years. She will be deeply missed. HARRY MICHAEL CLEMENTS M.D. Harry Michael Clements, M.D. passed away peacefully on February 6, 2020 after a long illness. He was born on April 14, 1943 to Dr. Harry and Genevieve Clements. As a young man “Mickey” was an accomplished athlete and great scholar. He pitched in the Little League World Series in 1955 for the Sto-Ken Rox Baseball Team. He attended Stowe High School where he earned varsity letters in baseball and basketball and was Valedictorian of the Class of 1959. He graduated with honors from Dartmouth College and followed his father to the prestigious Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, graduating in 1966. He enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard, and was honorably discharged after serving at the Veterans Hospital in New Orleans and as a Naval Surgeon on the USS Staten Island, an ice-cutter forging a path to open the northwest passage for global trade. The voyage was designated as “Operation Deep Freeze”. After returning home from active duty, he served as a physician at Weirton Steel Corporation before returning to McKees Rocks to open a medical practice. He served patients faithfully in Stowe, McKees Rocks and the surrounding areas for many decades. In the later years, he had a medical practice in Brookline and he served patients in the Brookline neighborhood of Pittsburgh. He retired in 2017. He was known as a brilliant diagnostician, a patient teacher, and a kind soul. He had an insatiable intellectual curiosity, spoke Italian, loved the arts, particularly opera, and was a skilled artist in marquetry, the art of in-laid wood, even inventing a new technique to enable more detailed pictures. He is preceded in death by his loving parents, and his baby sister, Alice. He is survived by his siblings Dave (MaryAnn Gleason), Frank, Barbara, Tom (Kathe) and Christine Albertini (Peter); nieces and nephews Ronna, Scott and David, Kathleen and Kristopher, Masha and Alex, Zhanna and Louis, Stevie and Tommy and many great-nieces and nephews. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Bernard Church in Mt. Lebanon, PA on Thursday, February 13, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. EVERYBODY PLEASE MEET IN CHURCH ON THURSDAY. RAYMOND ANDREW SKUNDRICH Age 73, of Bethel Park, passed away on Friday, February 07, 2020. Beloved husband of 50 years to Deborah Skundrich (Johns); loving father of Geoffrey (Cynthia) Skundrich and Elizabeth (Jay) Kenny; dear son of Virginia and the late Andrew Skundrich; proud grandfather of his “angels”, Emma, Abigail and Mary Kathryn Skundrich; brother of Ronald (Diane) Skundrich, Christine (Greg) McDermitt, Linda Skundrich and Richard (Connie) Skundrich. He is also survived by his loving nieces, nephews and friends. Ray graduated from West Liberty University with his BSBA of Accounting and continued to be an active contributor as an alumnus. He started his accounting career working for the firm of John Seals in Charleroi. Following that, he worked in the mining industry for Twilight Industries, Aloe Corporation and Boich Mining. He then became self-employed as the owner of M&M Uniforms in Bridgeville and Elizabeth until his retirement in 2018. Ray was an avid golfer, a dog lover and a member of the Beadling Club. His greatest love was his family and his friends and he will be dearly missed. PAUL JAMES NOROSKI PH. D. Paul James Noroski, Ph.D, 40, of Forest Hills, Pennsylvania, passed away suddenly on February 7, 2020. He is survived by his father, James Noroski, of McKeesport; his mother and stepfather, Sharyn and Arthur Fleming, of Forest Hills; his brother and sister-in-law, Brett and Mindie Noroski, along with their daughters, Lexie and Ashley, of Lake Worth, Florida; his sister and brother-in-law, Sarah and Todd Geissler, along with their daughters, Jillian and Daphne, of North Huntingdon, Pennsylvania. He is also survived by his nine stepsiblings; and by many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins. Paul was a graduate of McKeesport High School, where he was class president and graduated as salutatorian in 1998. He attended St. Vincent College, where he received a BA in Mathematics as well as an award for Excellence in Mathematics. He completed his studies at SUNY Albany, graduating with a Ph.D. in Economics and receiving the Distinguished Doctoral Dissertation Award. During his career, Paul taught at St. Vincent College, Duquesne University, and the University of Albany. At the time of his death, Paul was working as a visiting lecturer at the University of Pittsburgh. A lifelong learner himself, Paul was passionate about mastering complex subjects and using patience and humor to connect with students of all ages. His thirst for knowledge was unquenchable. Additionally, Paul was a talented musician who learned to play the piano and guitar by ear and could bring a room to life with his music. Paul had the love and adoration of his four nieces, and he gave back every ounce of love he received. His family and friends will remember him always for his quick wit, his sensitivity towards others, and his generous nature. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent College, Alex G. ROSALEE JEANNE (CALIGIURI) WERNER Age 77, of Monroeville, passed away on February 7, 2020. Beloved wife of William Werner; loving mother of Rebecca (Jason) Stack and Susan (Jeremy) Knauss; Nana to her granddaughters Chloe, Geana, and Willow Stack, and grandson Jaece Knauss; sister of Tonianne (Joe) Merante and Paul Caligiuri. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and good friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Clotilde Caligiuri. Jeanne was an incredible artist. She loved to share her joy of art with others, especially her nieces, nephews and daughters. Jeanne had the innate ability to make you feel special. Something about the way she spoke made you believe you were capable of great things. She was encouraging and a positive light to so many people. She wanted only the best for her family and those she loved. She was a great cook who prepared amazing meals. She took great pride in her home that was always kept immaculately clean. She enjoyed reading and creating art but her family was most important to her. She was a loving mother who cherished her daughters and grandchildren very dearly. Jeanne sadly faced many health challenges in her life although she consistently had a positive attitude that never faltered. She remained strong throughout her battles with Cancer and Multiple Sclerosis. Her attitude and strength are an inspiration that her family and friends will always remember. Jeanne often told people “You're the best!”. She was blessed to be surrounded by so many amazing people including friends, family, and nurses, but most importantly, her husband of 52 years. Jeanne and Bill had a beautiful marriage filled with patience and kindness. Their love for each other was evident within seconds of being in their presence. Bill provided Jeanne with the best care and life she could live while she was sick. Jeanne was surrounded by the best because she brought out the best in people. ALICE KATHERINE GUILLAUME On February 8, 2020, Alice Katherine Guillaume (nee Peterson), loving wife and mother of six children passed away at the age of 92. Alice was born in Sioux City, IA on September 26, 1927 to the late John and Mary Summers Peterson. She married George J. Guillaume (born September 25, 1922, died June 11, 2011) and had four children in Omaha, NE. After moving to Brentwood, PA in 1960, she had two more children and spent her next 60 years mothering her family from there, and then in Jefferson Hills. Her attention to detail resulted in a lifetime of amazing quilt creations, many of which she shared with family and friends. There was always a new quilt to commemorate the birth of one of her eight grandchildren. Alice was an avid golfer, golfing well into her 80's. While she was never very good, she made many life-long friends on the course. Alice is preceded in death by her husband, George, a son, Joseph, one brother John, and three sisters, Dorothy, Rita, and Louise. She is survived by her six children, George (Barbara) Guillaume, Thomas Guillaume, Elizabeth "Libby" (Ed) Simendinger, Teresa (Jeffrey) Morris and Annette "Nettie" Guillaume ; her grandchildren, Carrie (Dave) Guillaume Baker, Brian (Cori) Guillaume, Kari (Jim) Guillaume Duffy, Clayton (Teresa) Morris, Allison Morris, Grace (Jon) Morris Tebbe, Reva Morris and Tucker Morris; one brother, Dell Peterson; and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. DOROTHY M. (ANDRISEVIC) CHUTKO Age 95, of the Pittsburgh area, formerly of Chippewa Township, on Thursday, February 6, 2020. Beloved wife of 49 years of the late Joseph R. Chutko; loving mother of Mary Jo (John) Scandolari and Mark (Diana Bucco) Chutko; devoted "Gram" of Michael, Luke and Maria Chutko; sister of Janet (Richard) Kopec; also survived by godchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Dorothy was a graduate of Millvale High School Class of 1941 and was class valedictorian. She was employed at Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. in Millvale then she went on to Shadyside Hospital and graduated as an RN. While working at Shadyside Hospital, she also attended evening classes at the University of Pittsburgh where she earned her BS in nursing education. Then she became a night supervisor at Shadyside Hospital from 1947-48. She worked as a supervisor for the Visiting Nurses Association of Allegheny County for 15 years. After moving to Chippewa Township, she then worked at Hooper Holmes of Pittsburgh where she performed health exams for insurance companies. Dorothy was a very active member of the Ladies Guild of Christ the Divine Teacher Parish in Chippewa where she was President from 1975-76 and was also a member of the Christian Mother's. In addition, she was very active in the St. Vincent DePaul Society and was a recipient with the Fr. Marcus O'Brien Service Award in 2011. Dorothy then relocated back to the Pittsburgh area to be close to her children and family and enjoyed her time at Hampton Fields Village and at Holy Family Manor. ANNA BYCZKALO Age 95, Of Kennedy Twp. Peacefully on Saturday, February 8, 2020. Beloved wife of the late Wasyl "Bill". Loving mother of Maria (Bernie) Orient, and Oxsana Byczkalo, grandmother of Matthew Orient and Stephanie Orient (Scott Juzwak) of Maryland. Sister of Stephanie, and the late Andrew, and Wasyl all from Ukraine. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Anna was a devoted member of St. Mary's Ukrainian Orthodox Church and volunteered at many of the church activities. She was also a "Pyrohi Lady" for many years and a faithful supporter of Pittsburgh area Ukrainian functions. Family and friends are welcome Tuesday 1-8 p.m. at the VALERIAN F.
