THOMAS R. WAGNER Age 87, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 13, 2019, at his home in Penn Hills, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved and devoted husband to Patricia (Whiteford) for 62 years; loving father of Thomas Christopher and Katy Kasten (Keith); cherished grandfather to Luke and Connor Kasten; adored brother-in-law to JoAnne Mount, Kathleen Whiteford, Celeste Robertson (Alan); and a special uncle to nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Keith; brother, Richard (MaryAlice); sister, Eileen Richards (David); and brother-in-law, Jack (Eileen). Tom was an avid outdoorsman who spent countless hours afield with his beagle by his side, with a fishing rod in hand, and passing on those traditions to the next generation. He was a founding member of the Baldwin Deer Camp in Centre County. He loved sharing stories by the camp fire after a day's hunt with his many hunting buddies. He looked forward to the spring time where he could be found on a golf course or working his beautiful garden and its surrounding landscape. Tom worked for Local #9 Union as a bricklayer for 50 years and took great pride in his craft. He proudly served our country in the Army during the Korean War. ROBERT L. MORRIS Age 87, of Everett, PA formerly Indiana, PA, passed away on November 22, 2019. The son of the late Reverend Raymond L. Morris and Helen Twigg Morris he was born in Dillsburg, PA in 1932. He married Ruth Schenley Morris in Williamsport, PA, October 4, 1958. Robert was a student at Susquehanna University before enlisting in the Army Security Agency during the Korean War. Upon discharge he completed his BA degree at Lycoming College, an MA at Columbia University, and a Ph.D. at West Virginia University. He taught in the public schools of Williamsport, PA, Frostburg State University in Maryland and Indiana University of Pennsylvania where he was the Director of the Center for international Studies and later served as Dean of International Programs. He is credited at IUP with originating many student and faculty exchange programs around the world. He is survived by his wife of 61 years; a daughter, Karen Sue Morris and partner, Donald Lauver in Bedford, PA and a son and daughter-in-law, Gregg and Laura Morris of Venetia, PA. He was especially proud of the accomplishments of his two granddaughters, Meghan and Julia Morris, also of Venetia. He is also survived by brothers, James of Elizabethtown, PA, Raymond and wife, Tammy of Pinehurst, NC; a sister, Marylou Suckling of Mechanicsburg, PA; a sister-in-law, Carol Lynn Morris, of Lebanon, PA; and a brother-in-law, Robert Schenley of Oak Ridge, TN. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Jay of Lebanon, PA; brother-in-law, Robert Suckling; and sisters-in-law, Cynthia Schenley and Betty Morris, wife of James Morris. ROBERT CARDILLO "BOBBY" Age 95, of Oakland passed away at his home on Thursday, December 12, 2019. Beloved husband of the late Marianne Logiodice, the late Anne Silver and the late Ryna Perlman; loving father of Harry (Debbie Heideneich), Rob (Sue Leary) and Chris. Preceded in death by his siblings, Marce Nigro, Henry Cardilla, Edith DiGiorgio, Al Cardell, Helen Menten and Dorothy Tripoli. The youngest of seven children of Peter and Caterina, Bobby found his musical calling early in life. After graduating from Central Catholic, he spent three years during WWII in a US Navy band. After service, he toured with the Ina Ray Hutton Jazz Band and received his BFA in Music at Carnegie Tech. He married Marianne Logiodice in 1950, with whom he raised their three sons. He played on Gimbel's TV Shoppers Review and accompanied travelling artists including Andy Williams, Kay Ballard, Fifi Dorsey, Guy Kibbe, and Gilda Gray at local nightclubs. He and Reid Jaynes also formed one of the first two-piano teams in the region. In 1958, he performed alongside 13-year-old Itzhak Perlman for a Mozart Sonata at the William Penn Hotel. In 1960, he began teaching individual students at his private studio in Stanton Heights. He also taught jazz piano at both CMU and Duquesne where he later received his MFA. During the 70's he also accompanied Mel Torme, Diahann Carroll, Henry Mancini, and Michel LeGrand with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. He and Torme also performed together at Walt Harper's Jazz Club in downtown Pittsburgh. In 1980, he accompanied John Wade and Patrice King Brown on the Pittsburgh 2-Day Show on KDKA. In 1988, he and son Harry, an accomplished jazz pianist, opened Cardillo's Club Cafe, a jazz club in the Southside. The two piano stage featured headliners such as Tommy Flanagan, Ron McCroby, and Rebecca Paris. In 2000, both he and Harry were inducted into the Steinway Artists Roster. An avid Steelers fan, he held season tickets for over 40 years. Friends and family will be received at MCCABE BROS., INC. DAVID WILLIAMS, SR. "DAVE" David “Dave” Williams, Sr., 77, of Monroeville, died peacefully on Friday, December 13, 2019. He was born Nov. 11, 1942 in Chicago to Richard and Isabell Williams. After serving as an officer in the Army in Vietnam, he worked as a metallurgical engineer at U.S. Steel for 40 years. He married the love of his life, Joyce on December 19, 1964. He was a proud Chapter President and Senator in the Indiana Jaycees and was very involved in The Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts for almost 20 years. He was a former Deacon at Cross Roads Presbyterian Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, James (Sue) Williams. He is survived by his loving wife, Joyce; son, David, Jr.; daughter, Elizabeth (Frank) Brown; daughter, Susan (Katrina Fauss) Williams; son, Christopher (Tina Stroschein) Williams; and daughter, Sarah (George Beers) Williams; three grandchildren, Madelyn, Alyson and Evan; brother, Lee (Martha) Williams of Phoenix; and three nieces and two nephews. Dave had a passion for trains, history, the Chicago Cubs and building wooden models. His happiest days were spent camping with his wife and spending time with his family baking cookies and celebrating the holidays. He was a very loving man who cared deeply about people and the less fortunate. LOUIS JOHN SELLMAN Age 80, of Coraopolis, PA, passed away surrounded by family on Saturday, December 14, 2019. Born on September 28, 1939, he was the son of the late Louis Charles and Florence Sellman. Beloved husband to Jeannette Babinger Sellman for 58 years. Loving father to Keith (Linda), Louis (Marisa), Corey (Cathy) and Raymond (Jessica) Sellman. Cherished grandfather to Sarah, Zachariah, Elizabeth and Andrew Sellman and Kayley Dana and Nick Dana. He is survived by his brother, Glenn Sellman. Lou was preceded in death by his siblings, Joyce Johnson and Debbie Stanford. Lou was an avid sportsman. He also loved to hunt and fish with his sons, collected guns and taught Hunter's Safety for 15 years. The most important things in Lou's life were his Catholic faith, his teenage sweetheart Jeannette, and his family. His memory will live on through his faith, morals, and work ethic that he passed on to his sons. Lou was a very entrepreneurial man whose legacy will live on through the freight brokerage (Pittsburgh Dispatch Service, Inc.) he founded 26 years ago. Farrell, Sr.; sister of Denise Bilka, the late Margaret "Peggy" (Edward) Michalski and Charlene (Jack) Frasco; also survived by nieces and nephews. Bill was a retired Industrial Design Instructor at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh and at LaRoche University. He also worked for many years as an architect. Bill was a recipient of the Pennsylvania Association of Private School Administrators Teacher of the Year Award. He enjoyed crossword puzzles and was an avid runner and cyclist.
