Preceded in death by her brothers, James, William, Thomas, Robert and Ernest Regan. The cherished wife of 55 years to Leon Gefert; best mother-in-the-world to Frances "Kim" (Patrick) Connolly, Candy (John) Daffern and Leon LP (Jill) Gefert; beloved sister to Frances "Sally" (John "Shorty") Stockey, Ruth "Bubbles" Regan, Geraldine Tootsie (Matt) Hanlon, Arlene (Paul) Omasits and Doloris DD Regan; proud grandmother to the grandchildren she spoiled John, Matt, Sam Connolly and Megan, Henry Daffern. Patsy was a friend and confidant to her many nieces, nephews and friends. Her legacy is her passion for others and volunteerism. She was one of the founders of William McKinley Citizen Center in Penn Hills and politically active in grant writing for the center. She had a unique love of children and was a champion for the underdog. She will be truly missed by all. In 1960, John became the Founder of The CABALLEROS Marching Group and continued as Director of the group until 1996. During his tenure, John mentored several generations of CABALLEROS members. John was employed in the maintenance department of the Electric Heights Housing Association and retired as a Foreman with 32 years of service. HAROLD E. RYAN Age 93, of Baldwin, peacefully went to be with the Savior and his wife of 66 years, the late Vera Rachel on September 15, 2019. Harold is survived by his five children, Timothy P., Richard A., Kimberly A., Nancy L., and Thomas (Beth) along with 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; also survived by nieces, nephews, and a lifetime of memories. "Howdie" enjoyed a career of 50 years as a union plumber (Local 27) and in retirement continued to fix many clogged drains and toilets, rarely charging any fee. He was generous to everyone who knew him, giving freely of his time, expertise, and gentle guidance. He humbly led by example with humor; a man of quality and character, forged in hardship, a man who believed in what was right, fair and just. He made many friends over the years through his work life as well as those he met volunteering at Stewart Avenue Lutheran Church and Brentwood Meals On Wheels along side Vera. Together they enjoyed traveling and square dancing in the later years and always spending time with all their family. He was an Army Veteran who proudly served in the 45th Infantry Division "The Thunderbirds" during WWII. Many thanks to friends and family who have shared his long life journey, and especially the services of Home Instead, particularly Michael and Donald whose devoted care meant realizing his only wish, to be at home. She was born February 4, 1923 in Braddock, a daughter of the late Michael and Francis (Grillo) Sichitano. She was a longtime member of St. Robert Bellarmine Church in East McKeesport and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. She worked as a clerk at G.C. Murphy in Wilkinsburg before devoting her time to raising their children. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph C. Yaderosa; and son, John M. Yaderosa; five sisters and four brothers. She is survived by her daughter, Judy (Dale) Taylor of Manheim; grandchildren, Melissa (Shane) Taylor Siford, Jason (Amy Gordon) A. He is survived by his wife of 37 years Donna (Chermer) and his two children, Jamie (Mark) Hermann and Rob Gielarowski (Colleen and Gavin). Best dziadzia ever to Madison, Aubrey, and Brody; son of the late Henry and Stella Gielarowski; loving brother to Debbie Zandona, Ron Gielarowski, Frank (Marilyn) Gielarowski, and Diana (Joe) Frick; son-in-law to Donna Custer; brother-in-law to Craig (Debbie) Chermer, Doug (Linda) Chermer, Celeste (Tom) Fodor, and Mark (Jen) Chermer. Also survived and loved by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Bob had two main loves in his life. His first love was his family and his second was the elevator union (IUEC Local 6). In 1989, Bob started his career as an elevator mechanic in Washington D.C. I.U.E.C. Local 10. Then transferred in 1992 to Pittsburgh I.U.E.C. Local 6. He was very proud of his work as I.U.E.C. DOUGLAS GENE GLANTZ Age 70, of Cypress Hollow Drive in Sarasota, FL, died early Monday, September 16, 2019 at his residence. He was born May 6, 1949 in Ridgway, PA; son of the late Eugene and Shirley (Swope) Glantz. On June 23, 1973 he married Darla Joanne Black, formerly of Fairview, PA, who survives. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Amanda S. Allen and husband, Francis of Dalyellup, Western Australia and Meredith C. Glantz of Brooklyn, NY; two wonderful grandchildren, Eli Xavier Allen and Austin Jacob Allen, also of Dalyellup; brothers, Larry Glantz (Marti Blair) of Cape Elizabeth, ME, Martin Glantz (Lisa) of Bristow, Virginia, and Gary Glantz (Dorothy) of Accokeek, MD; sisters, Bonnie Glantz Zarlenga (Allen) of Hershey, PA and Leisa Glantz (Rick Davis) of Raleigh, NC; uncle and family pastor, Donald Swope (Vonnie) of Williamsburg, VA; and many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins. Doug graduated from Ridgway (PA) High School in 1967, with much success in both athletics and scholarship. He went on to earn multiple college degrees, including a BS in Chemical Engineering from Pennsylvania State University, a MS in Technical Writing from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and a Juris Doctor of Law from Temple University. Following an early career as a patent examiner in the US Patent & Trademark Office in Washington, DC and a Technology Writer/Editor at General Electric in Pittsfield, MA, he worked at Air Products & Chemicals in Allentown, PA while earning his law degree at night. After serving as Senior Patent Attorney at the Aluminum Company of America (ALCOA) in Pittsburgh, PA, he went into Private Practice, specializing in patent law. He prepared and prosecuted over 200 US patents. He was admitted to practice law in the State of Pennsylvania as well as before both the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and the U.S. Supreme Court. Doug was also a very accomplished pilot certified to operate many types of aircraft. He served 13 years a Chief Pilot, Mission Pilot and Legal Officer for the Civil Air Patrol, rising to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel, served many years as an Aircraft Commander with the US Coast Guard Auxiliary, and was a Pilot with PALS (Patient Air Lift Services). Doug received many awards for his service, including the Award for Outstanding Service during Hurricane Katrina (2005), the Award for Outstanding Service with the Pennsylvania Wing CAP (2003-2007), CAP Officer of the Year (2005), and the Operations Service Award from the US Coast Guard Auxiliary 5th District (2011, 2012 and 2013). Doug had many avid hobby interests throughout his life. These included owning and maintaining vintage cars, raising Irish Setters and Labrador Retrievers, fishing, brewing beer and wine, and supporting Penn State Nittany Lion football ("If God Isn't A Penn State Fan, Then Why Is The Sky Blue And White?"). He was also a member of Loyal Order of Moose, the New Britain Baptist Church, and was a Legal Advisor to Triangle Engineering Fraternity at the Pennsylvania State University. JOHN D. ANTENUCCI Of Baldwin, age 21, passed away unexpectedly on September 13, 2019; awesome son of Tina Antenucci and the late J.R. Antenucci; loving brother of Mariah and Brendan; grandson of Shirley Antenucci and the late Peter Antenucci, the late Joseph and Bernadette Rummo; also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. MARILYN "CHUBY" LUCARELLI Of North Versailles, age 77, on Sunday, September 15, 2019. Loving mother of Vincent (Jennifer Schubert) DelGross, Robert (Shi) DelGrosso and Paula (William) Petach; cherished grandmother of Alexis and Dominique Pentach and Nicholas, Gianna and Athena DelGrosso; sister of Bernadette (Bobby) Marcoz, Debbie (late Guy) DiMatteo and Joseph (Marilyn) Lucarello. She is also survived by nieces and nephews. Chuby was devoted to her family and loved her Italian and Serbian heritage. She had a passion for dancing and playing the accordian.
