MATHILDA "MITZI" CATHERINE (PASCOE) MALLOY Age 77, peacefully passed away suddenly at her home, Tuesday, July 9, 2019, with her loving husband, Frank Malloy, of 58 years, by her side. Mitzi loved spending time with her family and friends and especially enjoyed her beach vacations at the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Her never ending love and support for Frank and her family will be forever missed. She was the loving mother of Dawn (Joe) Pattinato, Michael (Leslie) Malloy, Timothy (Linette) Malloy and Jeffrey (Melissa) Malloy. Mathilda was the cherished “Grammy” to (7) seven grandchildren, Joey, Justin, Trevor, Brittanie, Ashley, Amanda and Erin; one great-granddaughter, Brexlyn; and a loving sister, Paulette (Pascoe) Mathias. HARRY DELWYN "DUNNIE" COX Age 89, of Bethel Park, passed away in his home on Monday, July 8, 2019. Born on March 18, 1930, he was the son of the late Louise and Emerson Cox; beloved husband to the late Mary Ann Antolich Cox for 48 years; loving father to Wendy (George) Humes and Lisa (David) Bonetti; cherished grandfather to Adam (Kimberly) Humes, Leah (Robert) Humes Walters, Nicole (Rich) Bettis and Matthew (Bri Watson) Bonetti; dear great-grandfather to Owen and Gwen Humes, Donato Farina, and Aria and Eli Bettis and Levi Bonetti. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Alice Trax and Virgil and Emerson Cox. Harry joined the US Navy directly out of high school at the age of 18. He served for four years and was an airplane mechanic. He retired from General Motors Fisher Body Division after being employed for 43 years. He married Mary Ann in 1955 and spent all of his life devoted to his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Harry lived a simple life. He enjoyed selling at flea markets, going to garage sales, polka dancing with his wife, and traveling the United States. Harry had many friends and along with his family, he will be sorely missed. A private gathering will be held at a future date to celebrate his life. Barbara supported Don as a homemaker as his 33-year consumer finance career took them to Punxsutawney, PA, Gettysburg, PA, Pittsburgh, Greensboro, NC and finally back to Pittsburgh. She and Don were very active in the community and youth sports in the North Allegheny School District. They also established a scholarship fund to benefit students in NA's Learning Support Center in memory of their son Jeff's challenges with dyslexia. A caring and sincere person of many talents, Barbara explored her creativity by opening a successful crafts store known as "Crafty Corner". She operated her business for over 20 years before retiring to travel with her husband, family, and friends. She and Don were also owners of several Bruster's Ice Cream franchises, including the current Ingomar, PA store. In her later years, she continued displaying her awesome cooking and baking talents as she enjoyed family functions and gatherings with friends. She enjoyed her association with The Red Hat Ladies as well. An ongoing love of her life was caring for her grandchildren and family. RICHARD F. "RICH" BAMBURAK Richard F. "Rich" Bamburak lost his battle with cancer on July 4, 2019, at AGH Hospital, at the age of 64. Born on December 17, 1954, he attended Serra Catholic and Carnegie Mellon University, where he began his lifelong love and passion for architecture. Rich was an exceptionally talented and creative architect designing numerous award-winning projects during his career at WTW Architects, where he was a Senior Principal. Rich focused much of his design on university student life projects, including student unions and student housing across the country. His work was broad and diverse, including offices, apartment buildings, healthcare facilities, and multi-use urban centers. His recent apartment and office building designs have been a vital part of the current Pittsburgh revival in the Strip District and Southside adding to the indelible mark he left on the city he loved. Rich's passion for the quality of the environment informed his design of many projects highly recognized for their sustainable approach. His many interests and passions included golf, cooking, wine, landscaping and travel where he loved to enjoy and photograph the beauty of this world. He was up every day at 4 a.m. to start work on the designs he loved to create, as he saw beauty in form through all the creations that he designed. Rich is survived by many that will forever cherish him, including his beloved wife, Marcia Guth, with whom he shared many mutual passions. Also, he is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Fran Bamburak; sister and brother-in-law, Mary Ann and Alex Demczak; sister-in-law, Barb Guth; and brother-in-law, Bill Guth and his wife, Val; and nieces, Logan and Taylor; his daughter, Laura, and her husband, Josh, and granddaughter, Quinn; and his son, Aaron. He will be sorely missed by many whose lives he has touched, including his nieces and nephews, Michelle and Brian Bamburak and his family, and niece, Molly O'Hern. His adorable canine, Scoot, gave him much joy and laughter over the years and cannot be forgotten. Donations can be made to The Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research.
