STEINMANN MARCIA MARIE (BRADLEY) Age 80, of Boulder, Colorado passed away Monday, October 1st, 2018 in Redlands, California after a courageous fight against brain cancer. Daughter of Rose and Vincent Bradley, she was born in Brookline, Pittsburgh on January 22nd, 1938, and raised in a humble household with both her father and grandfather being unionized electricians. She graduated from South Hills High School in 1955. While in high school she excelled in swimming, and she was a dedicated member of the swim team, winning over 50 medals. During that time, she also worked as a life guard at a H.J. Heinz summer camp. Marcia obtained a BS degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 1959, with a dual major in Psychology and Education. Shortly thereafter she went to Perdue University in Indiana, where she obtained her Master's degree in 1962. There she also met her future husband, Derick O. Steinmann, and they were together from 1966 until 1986 and had two children, David and Victor Steinmann. During the 1960s and early 1970s Marcia worked as a psychologist in various schools and state hospitals in Ohio and Colorado. When she moved to Metuchen, New Jersey in 1974 she dedicated her life to raising her two children and providing a solid and comfortable home for her family. Marcia was a dedicated supporter of the League of Woman Voters, and for many years she attended the United Nations General Assembly meetings in New York City on their behalf. From 1991 until 1993 she worked as a real estate agent at Weichert Realtors in Edison, New Jersey. From 1993 until the time of her death she was a resident of Boulder, where she helped with the Colorado Horse Rescue and other philanthropic causes. She had a great love for animals, and during the 1980s she was active in the Eastern German Shorthaired Pointer (GSP) Club and helped found the New Jersey GSP Rescue.  Marcia worked with dog trainers, and several of her dogs became champions. Horses were an important part of her life. She rode often when she was a teenager, and then during the last 15 years she refound her equestrian interests, in particular for Tennessee Walking Horses, of which she owned two wonderful horses: Blush and Ray. In addition to spending time with her family, she greatly enjoyed football, and like most of her family she was true to her roots and a life-long fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers. Marcia was a kind, caring, and supportive person. She is survived by her son, David B. Steinmann and his wife, Debbie Steinmann, as well as her son, Victor W. Steinmann; and her five grandchildren, Isaac Steinmann, Derick Steinmann, Ivonne Steinmann, Nathan Steinmann, and Melissa Steinmann; plus cousins, Evelyn Mayer and Daryle McCormick. BUNDY BERTHA C. "BEA" Passed away on November 2, 2018. She is survived her five children, Michael, William, David, Richard and Lynn; six grandchildren, Daniel, Dakota, Elizabeth, Tiffany, James and Madeline; as well as two daughters-in-law, Dalene and Susan. Mum was known and loved by many. Bea was a beautiful soul that brought light, cheer and warmth into the hearts of everyone she met. She was a mother and grandmother that worked hard always and helped and loved endlessly. She will live on in our hearts. Forever and be greatly missed forever. From Mike, Dalene and Tiffany. Mum was always there to lend an ear or hand when needed and listened to us. As we grew up any of our friends that was there called her mum. All of us will miss her, but we are all grateful for the time we had to spend with her and all the things she taught us. Love her always. Mike, Bill, Dave, Rick, Lynn, Daniel, Dakota, Elizabeth, Tiffany, James, Madeline, Dalene and Susan. Bea was an extremely independent woman, who was independent long before it was acceptable, mum was tough - loving - sweet - kind caring and charitable. She loved and defended her family and home fiercely and endlessly. She approached life and problems head on. Mum also was a huge dog lover in particular and animal lover in general. She took in more strays and adopted more dogs and other pets than we could possibly count. She was truly a special woman, the world in general and especially that of those who knew and loved her will be a much emptier place without her. The family asks that in lieu of sending flowers that if you want to do something please make a donation to your local no kill animal shelter. Send condolences post-gazette.com/gb
