VALENTINE MARY ANN MARY ANN VA...
VALENTINE MARY ANN Mary ann Valentine, resident of McCandless Township, born November 7, 1951, passed away peacefully at home on May 20, 2018, at age of 66, surrounded by family, friends, and her dog, Tuscany. She was the loving daughter of Concetta and the late Angelo Valentine. As a devoted nurse of 43 years, the care of her patients was always her primary concern. She received her LPN Degree from Alvernia School of Nursing and her RN degree from the University of South Florida. The last 28 years of her career were spent in the cardiac care unit of Allegheny General Hospital as a bedside registered nurse and case manager. She took great pride in her profession and was well respected by both physicians and peers alike for her skill, knowledge and dedication. Those who were blessed to have known Mary Ann will remember her lovingly for her generous heart, expressive eyes, warm smile and kind spirit. Among her other endearing qualities were her sense of humor, quick wit, and no nonsense "honesty". She was known to tell it as she saw it. Her many enjoyments included imported wines, fine dining, gourmet cooking, music and football. Mary Ann thoroughly enjoyed watching any football game but was a longtime devoted Steelers fan, never missing a game. Her greatest football moment was getting her photograph taken with her all time favorite player, Jack Lambert and having her football jersey signed by him. She was an avid traveler, visiting the US and many foreign countries. She embraced her Italian heritage and took great joy in her many visits to Italy. Mary Ann is survived by her mother, aunts, cousins, many friends and her faithful furry companion, Tuscany. Mary Ann, you will be dearly missed. non ti scorderemo mai. (We will never forget you.)
