ANDERSON DOUGLAS O., Jr. Age 95, of Sewickley and Pittsburgh passed on Saturday, April 28, 2018. Born January 12, 1923, in Mayville, WI, son of the late Douglas O. and Lucille (Miller) Anderson; beloved husband of the late Ruth (Borsack) Anderson and the late Carolyn (Black) Anderson; father of Paul Douglas (Sandy Laneve) Anderson, Craig Michael (Ann Wittig) Anderson and Scott Bradley (Suzanne Littleton) Anderson; grandfather of Devin Paul (Kellie Katruska) Anderson, Douglas Samuel Anderson, Ronald Paul Anderson, Kelly Alice (Mike Parr) Anderson, Dana Rae (Mike Chambers) Anderson; and great-grandfather to Charlotte and Ethan. Douglas was a Marine veteran of World War II, he was a mechanical engineer for US Steel and enjoyed golfing and woodworking. Services are private. Arrangements by COPELAND'S OF SEWICKLEY. SPANG THOMAS G. Age 83, of Delmont, formerly of McKeesport, died May 4, 2018, at UPMC McKeesport. Born December 11, 1934, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Anthony J. and Leona K. (Glaub) Spang and the loving partner of Jenny McDonald. Tom retired from US Steel National Tube, where he worked as a pipe inspector. He was a US Army veteran, serving during peacetime. Tom spent his winters in Titusville, FL, where he enjoyed fishing and catching shrimp. Tom had a green thumb and in his earlier years you could find him on the corners of Turtle Creek, selling the produce that he grew. During Christmas you could find him on Hartman St., in McKeesport, trimming and providing the community with the perfect tree to the celebrate the season. In addition to his beloved Jenny, Tom is survived by his children, James (Nancy) McDonald and Robert (Carol) McDonald; siblings, Rose Miskalis of McKeesport, Donald W. Spang of McKeesport, Herbert Spang of Homosassa, FL, Joan (Vince) Aiello of White Oak and William Spang of White Oak; also many nieces and nephews. Tom was also preceded in death by siblings, Carol Spang and Delores Marie Spang; brother-in-law, Angelo Miskalis; sister-in-law, Virginia Spang. SELDEN FRANCIS “FRITZI” E., Jr. “Jesus gave him as a gift to us and now it's time to give him back to Jesus.” These beautiful words were whispered between Fritzi's parents while they watched their oldest child of 11 children join God in Heaven after being his caretakers for the past 59 years. Fritzi was one of a kind and simply the best. There will never be another one like him. At the time of his passing on May 5, 2018, in addition to his parents, Fritzi was surrounded by his loving brothers and sisters. He was predeceased in death by his brother, Matthew Herbert. He is survived by his parents, Francis E.
