MAJESKY PHYLLIS Of Upper St. Clair, passed away comfortably on Saturday, November 3, 2018. Phyllis was born November 12, 1931, in Salem, Illinois, the daughter of the late Earl and Hazel Loomis. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Paul Dixon Majesky. Loving mother of Richard K. (Lisa) Majesky of Upper St. Clair and Margaret Majesky of Bethel Park, PA; proud grandmother of Scott (Maia) Majesky of Aspinwall and Christopher and Karina Majesky of Upper St. Clair; caring sister of Edwin (Janet) Loomis of Minnetonka, MN; sister-in-law of Jack (Doris) Majesky, of Wilton, CT; also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. Phyllis graduated from Jack School in Salem, Illinois in 1945 and Salem Community High School in 1949. Later in life, she received her Bachelor's in Communication from the University of Pittsburgh in 1979. Phyllis was a lady who was very involved in her community and liked to keep busy. She was an active member and held prominent positions at the Women's Center and Shelter in Greater Pittsburgh, Belmont County Historical Society, Westminster Presbyterian Church, & the League of Women's Voters. Phyllis was very politically active, even serving as a campaign manager for the Pennsylvania Republican Party. In 1983, she received the Women of the Year award in Allegheny County. Phyllis had many interests, but immensely enjoyed photography, glassware, and traveling with her family. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, November 9th, at 2 p.m., in the chapel at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 2040 Washington Rd., Upper St. Clair, PA, 15241. A reception will follow. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests Memorial Donations be made to Westminster Presbyterian Church Endowment Fund, 2040 Washington Rd., Upper St. Clair PA , 15241.
