EVANS JUNE (McNEIL) On Saturday, November 3, 2018. June was born in the Brighton Heights neighborhood of Pittsburgh on June 30, 1921, to James William (Bill) and Lucy (Wander) McNeil. She married the love of her life, Elmer in 1941 and the two remained happily married for 65 years. June and Elmer made their home in Brighton Heights, where they raised their two children, Marilyn and Ken. June was a lifetime member of All Saints Episcopal Church. She was baptized in the original church located at the corner of California and Antrim Streets, which was demolished on May 6, 1930 to make way for the construction of Ohio River Blvd. June was confirmed and married Elmer at All Saints at its current location McClure Ave. In addition to serving as a member of the alter guild for 25 years, she and Elmer spent countless hours volunteering their time and services at the church. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grnadmother. She is survived by her son, Ken (Kristina) Evans of Philadelphia, PA; son-in-law, Richard Meister; grandaughter, Amy Meister, Christy (Meister) and husband, Steve Lippmann; and greatgrandchildren, Sam and Amelia Lippmann. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer; daughter, Marilyn; brother, James "Bill" McNeil; and sister, Violet Irwin. There will be a funeral service for June on Thursday in All Saints Episcopal Church at the corner of Davis and McClure Aves., at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to All Saints Episcopal Church.
