REESE ELEANOR (BAILEY) Peacefully on Tuesday, January 5, 2016, at Wexford House. Ms. Reese was raised in Sharon, PA, and a longtime resident of the North Hills. Mother of Elizabeth Eifler, Sarah Reese and Julia Hill. A graduate of Chatham College (Class of '53), Ms. Reese worked briefly as an associate editor at Look Magazine and then became a purchasing agent for Allegheny General Hospital for over 20 years. In retirement, Eleanor was a cast member in productions at the Red Barn Theater and other local shows, commercials and a cable movie. As a very active member of Christ Episcopal Church, she will be laid to rest in their memorial garden. Eleanor was also a volunteer for the church Meals on Wheel program for 13 years. QUINLIN MARIE J. (CAMPBELL) Age 90, of Castle Shannon, passed away peacefully in Miami on Friday, January 15, 2016, after a brief illness. Born on March 13, 1925, in Charlemont, County Armagh, Northern Ireland, she was the daughter of the late Margaret (Finn) and John Campbell, and sister of the late Seamus Campbell and John Campbell. She immigrated to Pittsburgh with her late husband, John Quinlin of Mt. Washington in 1950. She leaves her six children, Margaret Quinlin and son-in-law, Jack McDowell, of Atlanta, Georgia, Michael Quinlin and daughter-in- law, Colette, of Milton, Massachusetts, Sheila Quinlin and son-in-law, Willie Cone, of Miami, Florida, Patricia Quinlin and son-in-law, Kevin McGowan, of Fairfax, Virginia, Kathleen Quinlin McIntire and son-in-law, Michael McIntire, of Arlington, Virginia, Ann Marie Quinlin and son-in-law, Harry French, of Cape Cod, Massachusetts; cherished grandmother of Leo, Devin and Lily; she is survived by a sister-in-law, Joyce; and many devoted nieces and nephews and their families in Pennsylvania as well as in Preston and London, England and many dear cousins in Northern Ireland, Canada and the U.S. Marie was a longtime employee and popular manager at Kaufmann's Department Store on Grant Street in Pittsburgh, and an avid gardener and traveler in her retirement. Her love and loyalty for her children, family and friends knew no bounds. A Memorial Mass is being held on January 23, 2016, at 9:30 a.m. at St. Anne Church in Castle Shannon, burial to follow in St. Anne Cemetery. Born July 27, 1952, he was the son of the late Melvin and Gertrude (Buczynski) Ducouer. Ronald worked for Allegheny County from which he recently retired. He also served in the Army Reserves. Ronald is survived by his loving wife, Jo Ann (Drugmand) Ducouer; daughter, Jolene (Michael) Wenzel; son, Ronald (Lenna) Ducouer; twin brother, Raymond (Donna) Ducouer; as well as several nieces, nephews, family, friends, and close neighbors. He will also be missed by his dogs, whom he loved dearly. RODIS HARRY GEORGE Of Longwood, Florida, died Monday, January 11, 2016, after a brief illness. Mr. Rodis was born May 6, 1927, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to the late George Harry Rodis and the late Maria (Papasoteriou) Rodis. On June 18, 1954, he married Lois Virginia Moorcroft in Fairbanks, Alaska. The couple made their home in many places throughout Mr. Rodis' career with the U.S. Geological Survey, finally settling in Seminole County, Longwood, Florida in 1975. He retired in 1989, and served his community by volunteering at Wekiva Springs State Park, Orlando Science Center and Sweetwater Oaks Home Owners Ascociation. A devoted and beloved husband, father and grandfather, Mr. Rodis enjoyed travelling and was an accomplished amateur photographer. He is survived by his wife, Lois of Longwood, Florida; sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Ernest Mandros of Pittsburgh; daughter, Sandra Rodis of Lutz, Florida; son and daughter-in-law, George and Leah Rodis of Alexandria, Virginia; daughter and son-in-law, Jill and Daryl Roberson of Altamonte Springs, Florida; daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Wade Peterson of Wesley Chapel, Florida; grandchildren, Zachary and Cory Rodis, Michael Webb, and Jacob and Hannah Peterson; and several nieces and nephews. EBITZ FLORENCE ANN (SIEBERT) Age 95, died peacefully at home surrounded by family on Saturday, January 16, 2016. Florence was the wife of the late William George Ebitz for 41 years. She was born September 29, 1920, to George Cyrus and Agnes Emma (Klaeser) Siebert, the fifth of nine children. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Matthew, Mary, Agnes, Esther, George, Loretta and Daniel. Florence was an affectionate, generous, creative, fun-loving mother who crocheted, knitted and sewed clothes, baked millions of cookies, donuts and wedding cakes, sang, recited poetry, and invented ways to amuse and entertain her family and friends. She will be missed forever by her children, Georgia (the late George) McCoy, William (Donna) Ebitz, Linda (the late Thomas) Sukitsch, Theresa Morrow, Jill Lappe, James Ebitz, and the late Craig (Kelley) Ebitz. She was the beloved Grandmother of Kelli Bayne, Jeffrey McCoy, Erin Feil, Nikki McCoy, Kathleen and William Ebitz, Tracey Hegerle, Shannon Lacek, Lea and Shaun Morrow, Nicole, John and Steven Lappe, and Matthew Ebitz; as well as great-grandmother to Mitchell, Drew, Courtney, Jordan, Evan, Dawsen, Nakeisha, Alexis, Joshua, William, Thomas, Kayleigh, Ethan, and Julian. Florence is also survived by her brother, Andrew Siebert; as well as many nieces and nephews. Kimberly is also survived by the father of her children, Daniel Aloe. After college, Kimberly was a ballet dancer. She was also very proud of her degrees in becoming a Registered Nurse and a Teacher. PEARSON MARJORIE Age 95, of Longwood at Oakmont, died peacefully in Shadyside Hospital, on Thursday, January 14, 2016. She was preceded in death by her parents Elmer and Adda Anderson; her husband, Richard K. Pearson. She is survived by her beloved sister, Betty Anderson of Longwood; and her nephews, Richard A. Anderson (Catherine), of Naples, FL, Bruce Anderson (Margot) of Bethesda, MD and Alan S. Anderson (Marylou) of Rayham, MA. She was a graduate of Wilkinsburg High School and attended Margaret Morris College before becoming a secretary at KDKA Radio. Before retiring she became Secretary to the Manager of KDKA Radio. She was very active in various church and civic groups. At Longwood, she was involved in many activities, especially her line dancing activities. Killen III; proud grandmother of Eric S. Anderson, Damon S. Anderson, Amanda K. Furda and Vanessa A. Keller; devoted great-grandmother of Morgan, Evan, Everett, Lily and Micah. Sister of the late Harry Arthur Evans of Atlanta, Georgia. Phyllis was a longtime resident of Richland Township and Johnstown, Pennsylvania. She was active with Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, Geistown Sewing Club and was an enthusiastic gardener. She retired as a secretary from General Electric Motor Division in Johnstown. Phyllis and John, married 67 years, resided at Vista Pines in Stuart, Florida where she was active with the Recreation Committee and Line Dance group prior to moving to The Village at St. Barnabas, Gibsonia, Pennsylvania. VERRICO IDA “EDITH” Went home to be with our dear Lord, January 16, 2016. Born April 28, 1920. She was the daughter of the late Margaret and Anthony Rotunto. With passing when she was a small child, she was left to be raised by the aunts, Mary and John Perrone, Angeline and John Minucci and Jean Cammuso, all are deceased; as well as her husband, Dellarosso Verrico whom she married on December 1, 1945, and lost June 2, 1993, being married 48 years. Also gone before her are two brothers, Vince and Joseph Rotunto; sisters-in-law, Rita and Lena Rotunto. Surviving are a brother, Frank Rotunto; three children, Fred (Ellie) Verrico of Hughesville, PA, Rina (Tony) Machi of Penn Hills, PA and Karen (Tom) Beatty of Jeannette, PA; 12 grandkids; 28 great-grandkids; and five great-great-grandkids; as well as nieces, nephews and cousins. Ida was an avid Catholic attending the former Immaculate Conception Church. She had worked at the Five and Ten Cent Store in Bloomfield. She loved bingo, playing cards and bocci with friends. But most of all she loved spending time with her family and friends. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed. Wife of late Manuel for over 70 years; mother of late Sanford (Elinor) Gold and the late Russell (Rae) Gold; grandma of Bob (Amy) Gold, Karen (Ari Schkolnik) Anisfeld, Sue (Scott) Long, Lisa (Steven) Rudick and Dr. Erika (David) Kestenberg; great- grandma of Jessica (Mk Davis) Gold, Alon Anisfeld, Julie Long, Jake Gold, Jordan Long, Max Rudick, Roi Kestenberg and Talia Kestenberg; sister of Milton (Charlotte) Lichtstein, Rose (Sherle) Wagner and Fred (Marian) Lichtstein. Sylvia was active in various organizations, community projects and democratic politics, received the American Legion Medal in eighth grade, graduated from Schenley High School with honors in three and a half years and was the commencement speaker. For over 30 years, Sylvia was a leader in a group called Recovery, Inc., for people coping with anxiety and she organized a group of fearful flyers (including herself) who after eight weekly meetings at the airport, flew successfully. DOLIVEIRA DENISE RAMALEY Age 54, of Plum, passed peacefully at home, surrounded by her family, on Sunday, January 17, 2016. She was born September 13, 1961, at Latrobe Hospital and grew up in New Alexandria. She was a student at New Derry Area School District. Denise always wanted to be a nurse. She received her B.S.N. Degree from West Virginia Wesleyan University and later went on to receive her M.S.N. from LaRoche College. She married John Doliveira in 1993 and had two children, Jonathan and Hailey. She was a nurse at Forbes Hospital and later became a nursing instructor and Department Head of Nursing at CCAC Boyce Campus. She was a devout member of Unity Community Church. Denise dedicated herself entirely to her family members, nursing students and to her patients. She loved to laugh, watch her favorite Pittsburgh Penguins, and travel around and the world with her family. In addition to her husband and children, she is survived by her parents, Chalmers and Barbara Ramaley; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Nicholas and Mary Palovich; her big sister, Barbara Clendenen (David); sisters-in-law, Patricia Dugan, Ann (Roger) Shaffer; brother- in-law, Nicholas (Cathy) Palovich; as well as many nieces and nephews whom she loved very much. She was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, George Doliveira. Denise will be dearly missed by all. MASON C. RUSSELL Age 73, of Unity Twp., died Saturday, January 16, 2016. He was born May 5, 1942, in McKeesport, a son of the late N. Russell and Sarah Hodder Mason. He was a 1961 graduate of Norwin High School and retired from Saint Gobain. He was an avid fly fisherman and was a member and past director of the Forbes Trail Chapter of Trout Unlimited from whom he received the Don Robb Memorial Service Award. In 2011, he became only the second recipient of the Trout Unlimited Lifetime Conservation Award. He was also a member of the Loyalhanna Watershed and the Lloydsville Sportsman's Club. He is survived by his fiancée, Gail S. Martin of North Versailles; a brother, David Mason of Greensburg; a sister, Susan Fallon and husband, Kenneth of Malabar, FL; two nephews, Derek Fallon and wife, Kristina, and Zachary Fallon and wife, Amanda; a great-nephew, Caleb Fallon; and a great-niece, Sarah Fallon.
