Rita was a member of St. Clair Country Club where she was active with the Ladies Golf Club and Bowling Club. She also volunteered her time in helping manage the gift shop at Magee-Women's Hospital and was an active member of the St. Louise de Marillac Ladies Guild. Rita was passionate about flowers and spent a lot of her time gardening and enjoyed traveling the world with her husband Lucian. Myers, FL; a granddaughter, Lisa (Matt) Basalla; great- grandchildren, Brittany, Andrew, Jacqueline and Christine, all of Castle Rock, Colorado. She is also survived by a brother, Leo (JoAnn), of Millvale; nieces, Maureen Danzuso and Kathy (Larry) Bertram; nephews, James Poole and Ronald Steedle. Also, a grandniece, Michele Poole and great-grandnephews, Kells, Kyle and Kean. Several other nieces and nephews also survive. Mrs. Langer was pre-deceased by her parents, John and Magdalena (Evard) Steedle; her husband of 52 years, William; her sisters, Mercedes, Madeline, Mary and Bernadette; brothers, Joe, George and Regis Steedle. Mrs. Langer was employed by Gimble's Dept. Store for 35 years, advancing from Head of Stock to Assistant Buyer in Ladies' Apparel. She retired in 1978. Delores enjoyed Bingo evenings for years with her sister, Bernie, and decades of Friday night get-togethers with her sister and family. His family referred to him as "Mr. Pittsburgh" for his cherished hometown and beloved Steelers, Pirates, and Penguins. Mort's greatest joy was his family. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and uncle. He was preceded in death by his wife Pearl; his parents, Morris and Esther Lowe and his sister, Betty Lazear. Surviving are his daughter and son, Debbie and Mitchell Gardiner; daughter, Bev Lowe (Art Boone); grandchildren, Nicole and Ryan Gardiner; and nieces and nephews, Penny, Craig, Dorey and Zachary Scheimer; and his dear, devoted friend and doctor, Alfonso Cipriani.
