FOGELIN Rev. VICTOR E. The Reverend Victor E. Fogelin, 81, of Presbyterian Senior Care, passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2015. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Anne Lawson; and his parents. Loving Father of Carol Fogelin Grinder of New Kensington and Amy (Marc) Pastor of Upper Burrell; grandfather of Hannah Lynn Pastor; and step-grandfather of Heather Pastor; brother of Reverend Helen (the late George) Liesenberg of Dearbourne, Michigan; he is also survived by his companion of ten years, Sandy Wahnsiedler of Oakmont; and her daughter, Brooke Kitzmiller of North Canton, Ohio, and her extended family. Rev. Fogelin was born February 26, 1934, in the Bronx, New York and graduated from the City College of New York with a degree in Liberal Arts. He did his graduate work at Western Seminary in Pittsburgh, receiving his Master of Divinity Degree. He was ordained to the Presbyterian Ministry in 1958. After ordination in 1958, Rev. Fogelin served churches in West Virginia, Ohio, and Pennsylvania for a total of 42 years. He retired in 1999 after the death of his wife and two years later resided at Westminster Senior Care in Oakmont. During his stay at Presbyterian Senior Care, he was active with the Day Care Center using his hand puppets, Spanish, and magic to entertain the children. He also served on the Editorial Staff. He attended St. Thomas Episcopal Church doing some teaching and working with children. Friends and relatives will be received on Sunday, June 7, 2015, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION & ALTERNATIVE SERVICES, INC., 421 Allegheny Ave., Oakmont. BONOSKY DEBORAH E. (BOOTH) Age 65, of West Mifflin, formerly of Clairton, after a courageous battle with cancer, passed peacefully on Friday, June 5, 2015. Beloved wife of 40 years to Glenn W. Bonosky; loving daughter of Edward E. and the late Ruth E. (Johnson) Booth; sister of Pat (Booth) Young and husband, Ken Young and the late Janet (Booth) Hellard and her husband, Cliff Hellard; aunt of Robin Scott, David and Kenneth Young; lifelong friend of Joan (Hellard) Estock and Coleen Loughman; and also survived by numerous great- nieces and nephews, in-laws and cousins. Retired region specialist with Schindler Elevator after 43 years of service. She enjoyed crocheting blankets for the “Linus Project.” She was an active committee person for the annual Clairton High School Reunion Picnic. Debbie opened her heart and home to her nieces, nephews and cousins. She will be greatly missed for her hospitality and brownies. BROOKS WILLIAM DAVID William David Brooks, or in his earlier years known as William “Bill” Rubish, passed away and went home to Jesus on April 29, 2015, at the age of 79 years, Houston, Texas. William will be missed dearly and will live forever in the hearts of those who loved him. His Faith was unwavering, his personality larger than life. His love of the lord was faithful and undisputed. His Love for the Horse Races was his passion and Hobby. Bill will be forever in our hearts. Bill was born on March 26, 1936, to William and Mary Rubish. Bill was married to Patricia Jane Rubish. They had two beautiful children, Precious Velvet Rubish-Mayes and Robert Rodney Rubish, both of California. He is survived by his beloved children, daughter, Precious Mayes and son Robert Rubish; his sister, Marlene and brother-in-law, Dr. Robert Capriati; his grandchildren, Morganne and Garrett Burchell of California; his niece, Debbie White of Texas. A private memorial service was held in Houston. Bill will be laid to rest in Lloyd's Cemetery in Ebensburg, Pennsylvania with his parents June 7, 2015. STANISHA LOUIS PHILIP "LOU" Age 87, of Ross Township, passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2015. Lou was born in Novo Mesto, Slovenia in 1927. He came to America with his parents arriving at Ellis Island, NY via the Ile de France in 1929 at the age of two, graduated Bellevue High ('45), was drafted into the Army in the last draft for WWII in 1946 and graduated from Carnegie Tech with BS degrees in Mechanical Engineering ('50) and Industrial Management ('58). Lou spent his professional life at Swindell Dressler, Dravo Corporation and Chapman Corporation. He was known as an accomplished accordionist and played as a member of the Duquesne University Tamburitzans ('45-'46) and remained very active in the alumni. He also entertained at many weddings and events in his ensemble group, The Balkan Dukes. Lou is survived by his bride of 55 years, Mary Joan (Nara); and their seven children, Rebecca (Scott), Robert (Patricia), Teresa, Charles (Dianna), Jennifer, Joseph (Leah), David (Terri); ten grandchildren; many in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and their families. He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Anna (Gorshin) Stanisha; brother, Ladislav Stanisha; and granddaughter, Erikka Stanisha. MARTINELLI EUGENE GALILEO “GENE” Age 96, passed away on Tuesday, June 2, 2015. He was born on December 31, 1918, in Ward, West Virginia to the late Antonio Martinelli and the late Pasqua Catarina Rossetti Martinelli. Eugene grew up in Turtle Creek, PA, where he graduated from Turtle Creek High School in 1937. After high school, he attended The Pennsylvania State University before joining the Army in 1941 and serving his country as a lieutenant during World War II. After the war and graduation from Penn State, he worked as a plasterer and as a Real Estate and Insurance Salesman. For many years he owned his own Real Estate Rental Management Company in Swissvale, PA. Eugene was a member of the American Legion, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Italian- American Club, and the Penn Brotherhood Lodge of the Masons. Eugene enjoyed spending time with his family, playing golf, and attending Penn State football games. He also enjoyed playing cards with his buddies at Churchill Valley Country Club. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death in 2002 by his wife, Catherine Louise Irving Martinelli, after 54 years of marriage. He was also preceded in death by his brother and five sisters. He is survived by four children, David (Marilyn) Martinelli, Cathie (John Donald) Signor, Donna (Charles) Young, and Craig (Jennifer) Martinelli. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and his companion for the last several years, Dolly Bortot. Eugene's family would like to extend a special thank you to Interim Healthcare Hospice of Pittsburgh, especially Denise F., Denise R., Fay and Tom, for the excellent care and compassion given to him during his final days. Eugene will lovingly be remembered by his family and those who knew him as a kind, caring, patriotic and compassionate man who wanted people to always remember to “Count Your Blessings” and “Pray for Peace”. In keeping with his humanitarian spirit, Eugene chose to donate his body to science. At a later time, his remains will be interred in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Penn Hills, PA, according to his wishes. RYLANDER DAVID R. Age 85, of Upper St. Clair, PA, died Sunday, May 31, 2015, at his home, surrounded by his family. David was born in Irwin, Pennsylvania on November 7, 1929, the son of A. Rudolph and Elizabeth Mellon Rylander. The family moved to Fairmont, WV when he was in grade school. He attended West Virginia University where he was a member of the Sigma Chi fraternity and captain of the golf team. After graduation he served as a lieutenant in the Air Force, stationed at Eglin AFB. He had a 30 year career as an executive at the Union National Bank of Pittsburgh, where he became Vice-President of Marketing. He later worked as a Registered Representative with Equitable Financial Services. Dave was an elder of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Upper St. Clair, and served on the boards of charitable organizations such as the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank and The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Golf was Dave's lifelong passion, and he was known for his skill and patient demeanor as he sought improvement through practice. He was an active, fun-loving man with a big heart and a great sense of humor. He sang in the church choir, learned to tap dance, and went sky-diving for his 70th birthday. He was a source of strength and stability for his family and friends, and enjoyed being part of his grandchildren's lives. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ruth Ann Leacock; their daughter, Lynn; and his second wife of 20 years, Rita Beck. He is survived by his sister, Jean Kerr Stockdale of McMurray, PA; son, Mark (Kerry) of Charlottesville, VA; daughter, Kristen (Mike) of Carnegie, PA; grandchildren, Lane and Peter Rylander; and two nieces, Barbara (Joseph) Kerr Smith of Portland, OR and Carolyn Kerr of McMurray, PA. Dave was embraced by Rita's family whom he loved as his own, and is survived also by her children, Kurt Beck (Kathleen) of Clemmons, NC, and Kristen Pederson (Matt) of Peters Township, PA; and grandchildren, Ryan, Jack, and Alex Beck, and Conor and Sarah Lynn Pederson. A memorial service will be held at Westminster Presbyterian Church at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 19, 2015. COOPER DAVID W. On April 7, 2015, age 75, of Oakmont. Preceded in death by his devoted partner of 50 years, Donald Alan George; his parents, Willard M. and Marcella Cooper; and brother, Richard M. Cooper of Willowick, Ohio. He is survived by his loving sister, Linda Cooper Zager of Bloomington, Indiana; and several nieces and nephews who held his affection; he also leaves behind his beloved canine companion, Maxwell. After receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Interior Design from Syracuse University in 1961, David served in the Army before embarking on a distinguished career in commercial interior design. Upon retiring as Vice President and Director of the Design Group at Oliver Realty, he established and was the 20-year proprietor of Articulation LTD in Shadyside, a shop known for offering fine gifts from artisans around the world. David was known for his sharp-whittled sense of humor, his love of animals and for his joy of gardening, cooking and entertaining. PERRY DONALD EUGENE, Sr. Age 86, of Beaver, formerly of Penn Hills, passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert O. Perry and Mildred Freer; wife of 48 years Teresa Rose (Bagnato); and sister, Phyllis Serafini. He is survived by his children, Marylynn (David) Sample of Beaver, PA, Donald E. (Teri) Perry, Jr. of Austin, TX; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Don served in the United States Army as a Medical Corpsman and worked for 44 years as a metal spinner for E.H. Schwab in Wilkins Twp. Some of his most notable work includes a brass finial which sits atop the dome of the Danny Thomas ALSAC Pavilion at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, TN, finials for Clayton House, Henry Clay Frick's former mansion in Point Breeze, PA, and decorative parts for the signage at Walt Disney World in Florida.
