TAYLOR TERESA ANN “TERRI” Passed in peace April 29, 2015. An award-winning international, investigative, and environmental journalist "with a capital J”, Terri passionately loved her world of human and animal family and friends, peace, environmental activism, research, swimming, gardening, and reading. She was full of life force, and never had a dull or idle moment in her lifelong quest to make the world a more just and healthy place. After graduating from Boston University and Columbia University, Terri established her career first in public radio and at ABC News, covering London, Europe, and the Middle East. Terri later returned to her hometown of Pittsburgh, where she made a mark as a general and investigative reporter at KDKA-TV and won an Emmy award for her investigative series on the mysterious crash of a US military flight - Arrow Air Flight 1285 in Gander, Newfoundland. She reported for and contributed to many of the finest international and local media outlets, including WQED-TV. Terri's memory will be held and cherished by her father, Dr. Paul Taylor; her brothers, Paul, Jr., Jonathan; her sister, Kirsten; her nephews, her many cousins, and her devoted friends. A memorial service in Terri's beloved Frick Park is being planned for the near future. Contributions in Terri's memory may be made to Family Hospice, Philanthropy Department. Terri would want those who knew and loved her to celebrate her life by taking a walk in nature, especially with a dog or cat, or by drinking a fine wine, eating a remarkable cheese, or standing up for justice and dignity. Her heart was wide open to beauty and love. She wishes you a bright and better world for you and those you love.
