Beloved husband of Linda Maggiore Bair; beloved and adored father of Kaitlyn Bair; brother of Albert Bair and Robert (Suzie) Bair; also survived by nieces and nephews; son-in-law of Louis and Elizabeth Maggiore, Diane (Jason) Griffiths, Nancy (Gary) Lang, and Louise (Daryl) Funaiock. Ron spent his life in service to his community. First as a member of Wilkins Township VFC #4 for 12 years, then as a member of Wilkins Township VFC #3 for 30 years with the last 11 years serving as Chief, and the 16 years prior as Assistant Chief. Ron was also a 27-year member of the Allegheny County Hazmat Team 440 serving most recently as Deputy Chief. Ron began his career in emergency services in 1991 as a dispatcher, first in Forest Hills, then at Eastern Regional Communications and Allegheny County 911. In 2008 he moved to Allegheny County Emergency Management as an Emergency Management Specialist. BEER HELEN M. Helen M. Beer, 90, passed away Thursday, April 2, 2015, in La Crosse, WI. Helen was born April 18, 1924, in Pittsburgh. On February 22, 1944, Helen married her high school sweetheart, Tom Beer, and they had 68 wonderful years together, before his death in 2012. Helen and Tom moved from Pittsburgh to North Port, FL, in 1991, where they enjoyed their retirement. They made many wonderful friends and Helen was very active in their retirement community. Helen and Tom moved to Wisconsin in 2009. She is survived by her loving family including daughters, Barbara Beer, La Crosse, and Janet Brunn, Charlotte, NC; four grandchildren, Michael (Kellie) Brunn of Charlotte, Brian (Rebecca) Frechette of San Diego, Kevin (Sandra) Brunn of Rostock, Germany, and Beth (Eric) Davidson of Holmen; Helen is further survived by five great- grandchildren; and additional family members in Pittsburgh. SIMON LAWRENCE BUD Age 90, on Friday, April 3, 2015, of West Mifflin. Beloved husband of the late Lois Simon; loving father of Larry (Thomasine) Simon and Lynn (Tom) Edenfield; proud Pappap of Elizabeth and Julie Kostilnik and Amanda Simon; brother of Loretta Coronado and the late Dorothy Hentosz; brother-in-law of Margaret Bergman; also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and his very dear friend, Dottie Davies. Bud served in the Navy on submarines and was a life member of the Submarine Veterans of WWII. His true passion was archery. He enjoyed shooting and officiating, but most of all he loved teaching the youths, seniors and the physically-challenged. He was an active member of PSAA and NAA and in the early 1960's he cofounded the JOAD program at the Clairton Sportsmen's Club where he was very active until recently when his health declined. He was also a Certified National Judge in archery and volunteered at the '84 and '96 Olympic games. In 2002, he was chosen to help carry the Olympic Torch to Salt Lake City.
