GOLDMAN SGT. RONALD S. “VIDEO” June 29, 1947-November 19, 2014, passed away peacefully in his sleep. Was born in Jamaica, NY and raised by the Care of Family and Youth Services. He attended Wyandanch High School where he was a member of the varsity basketball and track team. Mr. Goldman served as Sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps until he was transferred to the disability retired list following an accident. In the Marine Corps he had obtained many honorable awards. He had been employed by William J. Burns International Detective agency in New York before moving to the Pittsburgh area, where he was then employed by U.S. Airways, and was currently employed by the U.S. Postal Service. Other than a son, Ronald Goldman III, Mr. Goldman leaves behind his longtime companion, friend and caregiver, “Lynzei” Linda M. Lough; along with several other dear and caring friends whom he also considered as part of his family. Beloved husband of the late Betty (Hyson) Willison; loving father of James (Judy) Willison of Bethel Park and Robert (Mary Beth) Willison of Bloomington, IN; cherished grandfather of James R. (Lynn) Willison III, Jennie (Roger) Zioncheck and Karin Willison; great-grandfather of Sarah, Russell and Ella Willison. Robert enlisted in U.S. Navy upon Allegheny College graduation in 1942. Retired from the Navy Reserves after 20 years. Met Betty and had a whirlwind WWII courtship. They had 60 loving years together. He was vice president of Mellon Bank, past president Society of Residential Appraisers, longtime members O'Hara Township Zoning and Pension Boards. Avid Bridge player, model train and car enthusiast. GUY GERTRUDE “TRUDY” Age 88, of Sewickley, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family Nov. 19, 2014, in Forbes Hospice. Trudy was born Nov. 6, 1926, in Leetsdale to the late Anna Miller and George Messmer. She was a devoted parishioner and Eucharistic Minister at St. James Church where she also served as Sacristan. Trudy was an example of Christ to all who knew her. Surviving are her children, Christine (Scott) Atkin of Rhode Island, Mary (Michael) Leonard of Moon Twp. and their daughters, Katy and Anna Leonard; a stepson, Richard W. Guy of Sewickley; also ten grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren and great- great-grandchildren; a niece, Betty Jo Rollins of Leetsdale; also her special friend, Father Dan Valentine. Trudy was predeceased by her husband, C. Fred Guy; by three stepsons, Thomas F., C. Robert and John E. Guy; also a brother, Robert Messmer; and five other siblings. PERRY FRANK Age 84, of Somerset, entered into God's loving care on Wednesday, November 19, 2014, at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in Somerville, with his loving family by his side. Born in Pittsburgh, PA, he was a resident for many years before moving to Somerset in 1965. Frank earned his bachelor of fine arts from Carnegie Mellon University, Class of 1952. Frank was a vice president with J. Walter Thompson in NYC, where he worked as an art director until his retirement. He was a board member of the Garden State Watercolor Society and volunteered his time at the McCarrick Care Center. He was the proud creator of the Unborn in the USA.org website. He was an avid golfer, a passionate artist and an enthusiastic cook. But most of all he was thoughtful, and caring and loved by everyone. Frank was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Mary (Nardello) Perry; and his brothers, Leonard and John Perry. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Shirl Perry; three sons and daughters-in-law, Chris and Jean of Emmaus, PA, John and Annette of Richboro, PA, and Michael and Sherryl of Bridgewater, NJ; nine grandchildren, Jamie, Ian, Alex, Frank, Christopher, Michael, Julia, Talia, and Austin; and three great-grandchildren, Eric, Olivia, and Daniel. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, November 22, 2014, at St. Peter the Apostle Church, in New Brunswick, NJ. Burial will be private. WALKER ALBERTA “BERTIE” ROSENDAHL Age 91, of Spring Hill, Florida, passed away Sunday, November 16, 2014, at 10:10 a.m. Her Memorial Service will be Saturday, November 22, 2014. A gathering with family at PINECREST FUNERAL CHAPEL, 3369 Mariner Blvd., Spring Hill, FL 34608, will be from 4:00-5:00 p.m., concluding with a Memorial Service. Originally from Irwin, PA, she and her late husband, Thomas “Tom” J. Walker, met at Carnegie Tech, and married in 1946 soon after Tom completed his service in the U.S. Army. Together they raised three children, Leslie Lamiell (husband, Jim), Tom Walker, Jr. (wife, Patty), and Nancy Parker. Bertie has seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Tom and Bertie enjoyed 55 years together during which Bertie was a devoted mother and homemaker. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed time playing bridge. She was always a gracious hostess, providing exceptional fare for family and social gatherings. In addition to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; Bertie is survived by her sister, Jinny Huffman. She was predeceased by three siblings, Julius C. Rosendahl, Paul Arthur Rosendahl, and Eleanor C. Babian, all children of Julius V. and Bertha (Eckberg) Rosendahl. The family has been greatly comforted by the Sturgill Hospice Care Center located in Brooksville, FL. Alexander “Alex” Ferraro and Anthony “Tony” Ferraro; and her sister, Gilda Ognibene. She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis P. WALSH EDWARD D., Jr. Age 80, a Moon Township resident since 1963, passed away on Tuesday, November 18, 2014, at his home. He was born on the North Side of Pittsburgh on Feb. 24, 1934, to the late Marie (Nebel) and Edward D. Walsh, Sr. Beloved husband for 52 years of Judith (Burns) Walsh; loving father of Kathy Taylor (Scott) of Moon Township, Robert Walsh (Diane) of Hollywood Beach, FL, Kimberly Ebsworth (Ian) of Imperial and Kelly Egenlauf (Jon) of Crafton; brother of twins, Ruth Ehlinger and Donald Walsh, both of Bellevue, and the late Richard, Charles, William, James, Mary Alice, Thomas, and Mary Grace; grandfather of 16 and great-grandfather to three. He was a member of St. Margaret Mary Church where he had been an usher, served as treasurer for the Knights of Columbus and was a 4th Degree. For 35 years, he had been a senior buyer with U.S. Airways, also a member of the U.S. Airways Retirees and Management Club. He was an avid Pirates fan, enjoyed baseball, bowling, and golf. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He was devoted to his children and grandchildren. Coach Ed coached his children and grandchildren in Moon Little League Baseball spanning 30 years. He was a volunteer and sold 50/50 with both the Moon Wrestling Program and MCAA. Most recently he was both a school bus and limousine driver and was the “Coffee Meister” of Sheets in Moon Township. Visitation Saturday and Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at COPELAND'S MOON TOWNSHIP, 981 Brodhead Rd., where prayers will be recited on Monday at 9:30 a.m., followed by Mass at St. Margaret Mary Church at 10 a.m. Father Frank Kurminsky celebrant.
