THOMAS J. ZAYAC, JR. Age 79, of Canonsburg, passed away peacefully Wednesday, September 16, 2020, in his residence with his loyal and devoted wife of 55 years, Betty, by his side. He was born August 26, 1941, a son of the late Thomas J. and Helen Bochka Zayac, Sr. Known throughout his life as Sonny and Tom Tucker, he was born and raised in Brookline. Prior to his retirement, Tom was owner of T. J. Zayac Company for many years and was a member of Ironworkers local 3. He and Betty raised their three wonderful children in Cecil and was a faithful member of the St. Mary's Worship Site of Corpus Christi Parish. Those years with his young family were filled with fun and memorable times. He worked hard and taught his children that they could achieve anything they wanted in life. He enjoyed hunting at his camp in Tidioute, and fishing on his houseboat in Presque Isle. He was a fun loving, funny and caring father and always had plenty of great stories and life lessons to pass on to his family, who were the most important part of his life. Tom was the life of the party, quick to make everyone laugh and the kind of person anyone was happy to have a drink with. Later in life, he enjoyed all his friends at the Meadows Casino, traveling with his wife and most of all being with his family. On September 25, 1965, at St. Stevens Church, in Hazelwood he married his dear wife of 55 years Betty J. Zimmerman, who survives. Also left behind to cherish his memory are his beloved children, Judith Kramer (Thomas), Thomas Zayac, III and Colleen Dunn (Michael); his grandchildren, Morgan Kramer, Blake Miller (Andy), Thomas IV and Zoey Zayac, and Sarah and Michael Dunn; a sister, Mary Lou Sichitano (George), brothers, Arthur Zayac (Barbara), Michael Zayac (Shely) and Victor Zayac (Ruth Ann), his extended family, sisters-in-law, Bernadette Istik (Richard), Judith Thompkins (Dallas), Patricia Zimmerman and Barbara Harley (David), several nieces and nephews and his lifelong friend, Richard Perchach.
