F. DAVID SKRABSKI Of McKeesport, age 63, on Friday, January 30, 2020 after a short, brave battle with cancer. Beloved son of Shirley (Petras) of White Oak and the late Frederick Skrabski. Dear brother of Susan (Keith) Knox of White Oak, Daniel (Sharon) Skrabski of South Park, Douglas (Sharon Garvey) Skrabski of North Hills and Sharon (Gary) Bethel of Greensburg. Uncle of Ashton, Tyler, Justin and Zack. Great-uncle of Angela. David was a 1974 graduate of Serra Catholic High school and a 1978 graduate of Penn State. He retired after a career at the GM Fisher Body plant in West Mifflin. David was an avid golfer and also enjoyed woodworking, mechanics and general handyman activity. Friends are welcome on Sunday from 12 noon- 5p.m. at PATRICK T. ANTHONY R. "TONY" LEWANDOSKI Of Plum, age 77, on Thursday, January 30, 2020. Beloved husband of the late Sandra (Humbert) Lewandoski for 42 years. Dear father of Michael (Kelly) Lewandoski of VA, Christopher (Rachel) Lewandoski of Brookline and the late Anthony A. Lewandoski. Proud grandfather of Matthew, Marcella, Connor and Calsita Lewandoski. Brother of Kathleen Miller of Murrysville and the late Barbara Lewandoski. Tony was a graduate of East Pittsburgh High School and a retired employee of Wabco in Wilmerding with 39 years of service. Tony loved to listen to the musical sounds of the 50's and 60's and reveled in his appreciation of classic cars and attending car cruises. He also enjoyed storytelling of the original “Burgh” (East Pittsburgh) and the people and activities that made it unique. There will not be a visitation. CHARLES NICHOLAS "NICK" GROSS, JR. Age 78, of Orlando, Florida passed away on January 28, 2020 at AdventHealth Orlando. He was born April 19, 1941 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Dr. Charles N. Gross and Maryalda Freund Gross. He is survived by the love of his life, Jeannette Wood of Orlando; a sister, Cheryl Gross Lane (Timothy) of Kissimmee; a daughter, Tina Gross Howes; and two sons, Charles Nicholas Gross, III and David Duane Gross (Theresa), all of St. Cloud, Florida. He also leaves four grandchildren, Dylan Gross, Kyle Gross, Tyler Howes and Taryn Howes; as well as two great-grandchildren, and a host of friends. Nick went to elementary school at St. James Catholic School and finished high school at the University School in Shadyside, Pennsylvania. He attended Penn State University where he majored in Hotel & Restaurant Administration. While in college, he was a brother in the Phi Kappa Psi men's fraternity. After college, he was employed in the corporate headquarters of Walgreen's Corporation in Chicago where he was instrumental in the development of Wag's Restaurants. After relocating to Lighthouse Point, Florida, Nick became the President of Taco Viva fast food chain. Upon retiring from a long and successful career in the food industry, he took on a new and different challenge. In 1989, he opened Snow Construction in St. Cloud, Florida. Initially, he specialized in custom built homes, but soon branched out into condos, townhouses and commercial building. Nick loved golfing, fishing, hunting and boating as long as his health allowed. He loved being with his family and friends. On Sunday, February 2, 2020, a Memorial Service will be held at BALDWIN-FAIRCHILD CHAPEL HILL FUNERAL HOME & CEMETERY, 2420 Harrell Road, Orlando, Florida 32817. RALPH J. SMITH "SKIP" Age 75, of Dormont, passed peacefully with his family by his side on Thursday, January 30, 2020. Loving husband of Roseanne “Ricki” (DelMastro); beloved son of the late Ralph Leo Smith and Anna Mae (Convery) Bengston; cherished father of Shauna Rozzo (John); dear brother of Pam Skodak (John), David and Paul Smith; proud “Pappers” to Sydney, Anthony and Isabella; treasured uncle, cousin and friend of many. Skip began a graphic arts career with ALCOA and later worked as a freelance graphic artist. He loved spending time with his family, especially his three grandchildren and all of the wonderful friends he had made throughout his life. Skip was an enthusiastic Disc Jockey in the Pittsburgh area for over fifty years and a member of the Beaver Bowling League for more than forty years. He also enjoyed coaching girl's softball for the Brookline Little League Association during the late 80's and 90's. He was a huge fan of the Pirates and Steelers and was a long time season ticket holder. No visitation per his request. DOLORES E. DAGOSTINO Age 95, of Baldwin Boro, formerly of Pittsburgh, went to be with her Lord and Savior on January 30, 2020. Dolores is survived by her two sons, Robert P. (Cynthia) Dagostino and Wayne A. (Cheryl) Dagostino, four grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Paul R. Dagostino, as well as her parents, Henry and Emma Bartz. Dolores loved to crochet, complete jigsaw puzzles, and spend time with her adored family, friends, and neighbors. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. RONALD PAUL LEECH Ronald Paul Leech, age 68, of McKeesport, died suddenly, Thursday, January 30, 2020 at his home. He was born in McKeesport on July 20, 1951 and is the son of Roseltha Sullivan Leech of McKeesport and the late Clyde Leech, Jr. He is a very proud graduate of Penn State University which he loved greatly. He previously resided in New Milford, Connecticut, and spent much time with his grandson picking him up from school and just having fun. He moved back to McKeesport to be with his mother. He retired from Allegheny County as a Certified Public Accountant. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his daughter, Melissa Leech Zaldo of Bethany, Connecticut; grandson, Jackson Zaldo of Bethany, Connecticut; brother, Garry Leech; sister, Beverly Judge, both of McKeesport and nieces and nephews. ELDEN F. WALTHOUR "AL" Age 77, of Monroeville, passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2020. He was born in Pitcairn, son of the late Howard and Helen (Neleigh) Walthour. Beloved husband of Nancy J. (Brehm) Walthour; father of Denise L. (Richard) Speelman, Walter V. (Amy) Sidorovich and Scott H. (Yedda) Walthour; Pap Pap of Lindsay and Kelsey Speelman, Eva, Maya and Anna Sidorovich, and Lucas, Mi-ra, Jonah and Ezra Walthour. He was preceded in death by his brother, Paul N. Walthour. Al received his bachelors degree from Edinboro State University, his master's degree and secondary principal certificate from Duquesne University, and at the University of Pittsburgh he did PhD course work and received his superintendent certificate. He taught science at Monroeville Junior High and best remembered for the year-long planning of a 3 day field trip to Washington, D.C. for the entire ninth grade class. He also taught at Shaler Intermediate High School; was an Assistant Principal at Yough Senior High School; High School Principal at Cranberry Jr./Sr. High School and was an Assistant Superintendent at South Butler Schools. Al was a member of the PA Middle School Executive Board and the PA Testing Committee which developed benchmarks for the science and math testing programs. For 16 years, he was a Blue/Gold officer volunteering for the U.S. Naval Academy, Annapolis, MD, helping applicants with their applications and then making a Naval recommendation as to their being a potential Midshipman. He was a member of Cross Roads Presbyterian Church where he had served as an elder and trustee. Al was also a valued staff member at the Corl Funeral Chapel for many years. Friends will be received on Sunday from 1-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the GENE H. CORL INC., FUNERAL CHAPEL AND CREMATION SERVICES OF MONROEVILLE, 4335 Northern Pike (412-372-2100). She was born on September 16, 1966 in Johnstown, PA, and graduated from Hempfield Area High School. Sonya was a vibrant and creative woman with a deep appreciation for arts and crafts. She enjoyed spending time painting ceramics, reading, and listening to music (some of her favorites included Madonna, Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks). Sonya's memory will be cherished by her son, Nathaniel (Valeriya) Guhl; and granddaughter, Olivia Guhl. She was preceded in death by her mother, Evelyn G. Griffin; and sister, Terri Lee Griffin. PETER ITALO BUCCI Age 92, of Brookline, formerly of Oakland, peacefully at home on Friday, January 31, 2020. Beloved husband of Antoinette Falorio Bucci; son of the late Anthony and Irene (Amoroso) Bucci; loving father of Anthony J. (Franca) Bucci, Irene (Domenic) DePasquale and Gina Bucci; brother of Antoinetta Pollice, preceded in death by siblings, Pippinelle, Nunzia, Giovannina and Giovannino; grandfather of Roberta DePasquale, Antoinette (Drew) Stoner, Joseph Bucci, Peter Bucci, the late Anthony Bucci; great-grandfather of Ava, Brantley, Beau Anthony, Dominic, and Mia. Our hearts broke on this day as our beloved father and devoted husband passed on. This is the saddest day of our lives as our patriarch was a strong presence in our lives. Dad was very proud of his family and very protective of us all. He adored his wife who he met in Gamberale, Italy, and doted on his children. Dad was a devoted family man always looking out for our best interests. He worked hard to insure that we were not deprived of anything. He was successful in everything he attempted. Dad was proud of his family and his Italian heritage and belonging to the San Lorenzo Club. He loved to be with people, and his passion was gardening and the outdoors. He was always in his glory when surrounded by family. Dad was compassionate, generous and truly a man of honor. His beautiful smile always lit up a room. He was loved by all of his family and friends and was always wanting to protect everyone with his sensitive heart. Nobody will every be able to fill your shoes, Dad, you were one of a kind and I hope you will protect us all, Dad. You will never leave our hearts nor remain just a memory. You will remain a strong presence in our lives and we will always love you, missing you or remembering you. Its difficult to let you go, Dad, but be at peace with God now for we all love you. HARRY THOMAS BUTERBAUGH Harry Thomas Buterbaugh, 83, of Plum Boro Passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2020 peacefully with his family by his side. Born in Bridgeton, New Jersey on September 23, 1936 he was the son of the late Harold Buterbaugh and Mary (Csaszar) (Logan). Beloved husband of 53 years to Eva (Churchel) Buterbaugh; loving father of Janie (David) Beacom of Murrysville and Susan (Frank) Pernice of Plum Grandfather of Michael, Lauren and Olivia Pernice and Emma Beacom; brother of the late Fred, Audrey, and Rose. He is also survived by many special nieces and nephews. Harry retired from industrial roofing in 2001, and started working part-time at 380 Auction. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with friends and family. Harry served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict from 1953-1961. He was a member of the American Legion Post 980. DIANE M. BOYLE Age 64, went to join her husband, mother, and sister in Heaven on Wednesday, January 29, 2020. Survived by father, Dominic DePalma, Sr., son, Jonathan Boyle, daughter, Heather Boyle, brothers, Frank (Deborah) and Dom (Jan) and many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins. A courageous and brave warrior queen whom battled stage IV uterine cancer for 13 beautiful years. The demeanor of a delicate flower with a backbone of steel. She was her husbands backbone through his cancer battle in 2017 as well as her children's mentor and best friend. She always had hope and a smile on her face; enjoying each day as if it were her last. She will be missed by all who had the honor to know her for her strength, positivity, and selflessness were boundless. ROBERT THOMPSON WINSTON "BOB" Bob, of Providence Point, formerly of Upper St. Clair, passed away peacefully Wednesday, January 29th. Born in 1927 in Jackson, Tennessee, Bob was raised in Detroit, Michigan. He was predeceased by his parents, Marvin and Marjorie (Thompson); his brother, Marvin, Jr. and his sister, Laura Mai (Clark). After serving in the U.S. Army during WWII, he went on to attend the University of Michigan and graduate from law school. His career as a corporate lawyer for Westinghouse in Pittsburgh took him around the world. In retirement, he continued to travel and always had a special affection for Paris. He loved to play bridge, watch classic movies, listen to opera and was an avid reader of the New York Times. He enjoyed wine, good food, and the company of his friends at Providence Point. He was predeceased by his first wife Louise (Biason) and is survived by their daughter, Leslie Bilodeau (Steven); grandchildren, Carolyn Goetz (Patrick), Peter, Joanna Seymour (Sean), John, Steven (Emily), Leah, Grace, Emmanuelle, Noah; and three great-grandchildren, Stella, Ronan, and Brody. He was also predeceased by his second wife, Regina (Walsh Kelly) and is survived by her children, Regina Vargo (Frank), Thomas Kelly (Susan), Craig Kelly (Paula), and Carl Kelly (Meg). He leaves behind his companion Elizabeth Donohue and her children, Chris Donohue (Susan), Sherry Katsuhisa (Hikojiro), and Janet Demarest (Jamie). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 8th at 2:00 p.m. at the Providence Point Chapel, in Scott Township, with a reception immediately following. ROBERT W. BENNA, N3LWP Age 86, of Ross Twp., passed away on Saturday, February 1, 2020. Born June 8, 1933, son of the late Frank and Alma Benna. Beloved husband of Patricia A. Benna, whom he married on December 26, 1953, loving father of Mary (Dave) Buskirk, Robert A., David (Janice), Teresa (Dan) Fitzpatrick, Paul G. (Tracey), Michael (Shannon) Benna; dear grandfather of Becky (Dan), Sarah (Bobby), Matthew, Samantha (Brett), Erin, Kelly (Curt), Melissa, Jonathan, Michelle, Olivia, Libby, Jacob, and Nicholas; great-grandpa of Teagan, Jackson, and Connor. Bob will be lovingly remembered for his strong work ethic, compassion, and the love he had for his family. He worked for Bell Telephone, and was a volunteer for Perrysville Vol. Fire Company. Bob was a very active member of the Breeze Shooters. He also enjoyed gardening. After graduation from high school, Bob selflessly served our country in the United States Army, having served in the Korean War. Family and friends are welcome Tuesday from 2-4, 6-8 p.m. at DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME, 806 Perry Hwy., North Hills. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Teresa of Avila Parish. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Mount Troy Road. ANTONIO ALVAREZ PEDROSO Antonio Alvarez-Pedroso, 80, of Moon Twp., died peacefully on January 29, 2020 in UPMC Mercy, Pittsburgh. He was born in Havana, Cuba on July 19, 1939, the son of the late Antonio and Graciela (Otero) Alvarez Pedroso. He graduated from Villanova University with a master's in Chemical Engineering, and retired as a Chemical Engineer. His interests included the stock market, traveling, and going to the gym several times a week, but above all it was spending time with and being there for family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Joyce (Price) Alvarez-Pedroso in 2010. He is survived by his son, Anthony Alvarez-Pedroso (and wife, Antoinette), Pittsburgh. A granddaughter, Talia Alvarez-Pedroso; and a sister, Graciela Garcia. Friends will be received on Wednesday February 5th from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in The HUNTSMAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES of Moon Twp. (1522 Coraopolis Hts. Rd.) A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. in St. Margaret Mary Parish, Moon Twp. (Everyone please meet at church). Committal will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Moon Twp.
