HOUSE CLYDE R. Age 95, of Moon Twp., passed away peacefully, on Thursday, April 24, 2014. He was born in North Braddock on May 27, 1918, the son of the late Clyde F. and Minnie (Hamilton) House. Clyde served his country in the Army Air Corps during WWII. He was Fire Chief of North Braddock Borough before going on to work as a fireman for Allegheny County at the Greater Pittsburgh International Airport. In addition to his parents, Clyde was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother. He is survived by his wife of 62 yrs., Hilary (Scherrbaum) House; a daughter, Dr. Claudia J. House of Moon Twp.; and a son, Clyde J. "C.J." House of Cecil Twp. Clyde was the proud grandfather of Paul J. House and Nicole A. House. He is also survived by four sisters. GILFILLAN KYLE TAYLOR Of Sewickley, died suddenly at home, on Sunday, April 20, 2014. He was the beloved son of Howard and Margaret Shields Gilfillan; and devoted brother of Erin Gilfillan. He is survived by his uncles, Will, John, and Charles Shields; his aunt, Janet Young; great-aunt, Betty (BG) Shields; and many dear friends and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Andrew and Marion Gilfillan, W. Dickinson Shields, and Virginia Davidson Shields. Kyle was a gentle, kind-hearted man who loved to be with his family, his friends, and his Siamese cats. He was socially conscious and compassionate to all. Kyle was an honors graduate of Penn State's College of Communications. His life's passion was music, which included attending concerts and taping his favorite bands, extending from the Grateful Dead to Phish. He developed an expertise in the technical side of sound recording, which was burgeoning into a career. He will be lovingly remembered by all who knew him. A native of Pittsburgh whose father owned Vulcanizers and Tire Supply in East Liberty, she graduated from Cathedral High and learned to fly while attending Penn State. She met her husband, John J. Bock, a Naval Academy graduate, while working as a stewardess for TWA and went on to complete her B.A. in 1970 in California, where she spent most of her adult life. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years and her daughter, Susan Bock. She is survived by daughters, Gretchen Austin, Judy Sullivan, and Chris Robinson; four grandsons and two great-grandchildren.
