JAMES A. WEIKEL Age 95, lately of Washington, PA and formerly of Moon Run, PA, passed away on August 1, 2019. He was recently preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Marcia. He is survived by his daughter, April (Eric) Betzner; son, James (Beth); and daughter, Julie (Pat) Garber; grandchildren, Jacob (Emily) and Rachel Betzner; and many nieces and nephews. A longtime truck driver, Jim was an appreciator of free food, beer and cigarettes. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Alice and his brothers, Joseph (Anna), Frank (Irene) and sister, Rita (Joseph) Kaulius. No services are being held and arrangements are being handled by PIATT AND BARNHILL FUNERAL HOME, Washington, PA. Lebanon and William Fletcher of Burgettstown; grandfather of Jeffrey, Sean, Harrison and Christian Fletcher and Cara (Damien) Keter; great-grandfather of Rowan Keter; brother-in-law of Betty Ann Fletcher. Preceded in death by his parents, Thad and Christine Fletcher, his wife of 50 years Helen Lewis Fletcher, grandchildren, Nicole and Timmy Fletcher and brothers, Bill and Don. Charlie was a Veteran of the USMC, very active in his community and a retired sales manager for American Foods Co. DELORIS "DOLLY" BERNICE KRAUS Age 86, of Whitehall, PA, and formerly of Grampian, PA, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2019 after a brief illness. Born March 2nd, 1933 in Grampian, PA to George John and Blanche Elizabeth (Laskey) Liberty, Deloris was one of five children, Rosella Frances Sass of Grampian, PA, Mary Besikirski of Pittsburgh PA, Stanley George Liberty of Pittsburgh, PA and Francis (Frank) Anthony Liberty of Wheeling WV, all who preceded her in death. Surviving Deloris are three sons, Charles Francis, Bruce Allen, James Joseph Kraus; two grandchildren, Charles (Chase) Francis Kraus, III, Kaleigh Erin Kraus; and two great-grandchildren, Chase Jaxon (CJ) and Kinley Nicole Kraus; and nieces, Sandra Gayheart and Carol Smerdell; and nephew, John Liberty. Raised in Depression Era Grampian, PA, Deloris brought many of the skills she learned early on into her adult life. She was passionate about gardening, caning, cooking, sewing, crocheting and baking, especially skilled in exquisitely prepared and decorated wedding cakes.She found great joy using her love of crocheting to volunteer for Project Linus "to provide love, a sense of security, warmth and comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need...by giving them gifts of new, handmade blankets, quilts and afghans, lovingly created...by volunteer "blanketeers." Throughout her adult life, Deloris was equally passionate about her work in food and beverage service, her last employment being Crown Plaza Suites Pittsburgh South, Fort Couch Road for the better part of 20 years. She was equally passionate and especially proud of her union, Unite Here!, helping to unionize her fellow workers and serving as union shop steward for the length of that employment. Residing in the home she loved in Whitehall, PA for 55 years, Deloris last resided at Overlook Green, Whitehall, PA, a senior community where she lovingly enjoyed the friendship and companionship of many of the staff and residents. In keeping with her devout catholic faith, a Mass of Christian Faith will be celebrated at St. Gabriel's of The Sorrowful Virgin, 5200 Greenridge Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15236 on Thursday, August 8th at 10 a.m. All are invited and welcomed to attend. Private burial will take place at St. Bonaventure Roman Catholic Cemetery, Main Street, Grampian, PA attended by family and close friends. Beloved wife of Felix Natoli; mother of Vincent (Candy); grandmother of Mia; daughter of the late William and Virginia Evans; sister of Virginia Evans, and the late William Evans and Dorothy Condron; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Carolyn worked at Federated Investors for 25 years. She was active in politics, serving as Vice Chair of the Tenth Ward Democratic Committee. She was also active in her community as a volunteer at St. Margaret's Hospital and a member of the Morningside Bocce League. She enjoyed her monthly Card Club as well as yoga and was an avid walker. DONALD I. SHRAGER On Monday, August 5, 2019. Former husband of the late Carna Shrager; beloved father of David J. Shrager (fiancee Annie Federoff), Mark Shrager (girlfriend Michelle) and Rene Davidson; brother of Phyllis Grofman and the late Allen Shrager; Grandpa Shrager to Nicole, Jaclyn, Sherri, Loren, Morgan and Ava-Grace; dear friend of Linda Ferguson and Lee Silvers. Also survived by many great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Born and raised in Pittsburgh's Squirrel Hill area, Donald was a graduate of Taylor Allderdice High School, served in the US Army and attended the University of Pittsburgh and its School of Law. He worked as an attorney in private practice starting in 1967 and worked doing what he loved until a few short weeks before his death. Donald was the longest continuous tenant in the Frick Building. He was honored by the Allegheny County Bar Association for over fifty years of service. He was a published author of a philosophy book, "On the Road to Wisdom." He was dedicated to the practice of law, his family and friends, and leaving the world better than he found it. WILLIAM J. "BILL" PISARCIK Age 59, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 4, 2019, surrounded by his praying family. He was the beloved husband of Cecilia ”Cissy”; loving father of Joshua, Luke (Melissa), Mark (Carissa), Molly (John), Lindsey (Ben), Philip, Jacob and Joseph Pisarcik; loving grandfather of Grace, Lena, Ellie, Valentina, Rocco and Annie; son of the late Billie Dean (Spar) and Joseph Pisarcik; brother of Katha, Susie, Mary, John, Jane, Paul, Teresa, Tom, Lisa, Becky and Michael. Bill was the uncle to 76 nieces and nephews. Bill was a faithful member of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Finleyville. He worked for Mascaro Construction Company to whom he was very loyal. It was apparent to anyone who knew him that Bill's greatest love was Cissy, his children and grandchildren. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. He will always be remembered as a kind, compassionate man willing to help anyone in need. He loved his family, friends and country. This spiritual man bravely fought Prostate Cancer with a positive attitude. JOSEPH W. KATKOWSKI Age 95 of Level Green passed away on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 in the Harmar Village Care Center, Harmar Twp. Joe was born on December 29, 1923 in Claridge the son of the late Anthony and Anna (Piesetzkie) Katkowski. Joe was a veteran of the US Army during WWII as a medical technician. Joe was a member of the the St. Regis Church in Trafford and he retired as an inspector from WABCO in Wilmerding. Joe was preceded in death by his wife Margaret A. (Fundis) Katkowski. Joe is survived by his two daughters Teresa A. DiCesare (Dominic) and Nancy Katkowski; his grandchildren Dayna DiCesare (Casey) and Amy Johnson (Jason) and his great-grandchildren Kate and Alex Johnson. PAUL R. GEORGE Age 89, of Carnegie, formerly of Oakdale and Midway, passed away on Monday, August 5, 2019 in Kane Scott Regional Hospital. Paul was born on January 28, 1930 in Colliers, WV, the son of the late Paul and Clarabel Martin George. Mr. George was a police officer and also a security officer. He loved to go fishing, enjoyed reading and his family, whom he loved very much. He was also a minister at Church of the Nazarene. Paul is survived by his wife, Joanne George of Carnegie, whom he would have been married to for 69 years next month. He is also survived by his five daughters, Linda George of Oakdale, Betty (Bill) Ullom of Hickory, Cathy (Jim) Ostapchenko of Monaca, Gloria (Bill) Stemple of Washington, PA and Valerie (Army) Verelst of Oakdale. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; a few step-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Claire George; and sisters, Norma Partin of Oakdale and Nancy Stankevich of Oakdale. DONALD S. "DON" FABYONIC Age 82, of Bethel Park, formerly of Level Green passed away peacefully on Monday, August 5, 2019 at the Paramount Senior Living in Bethel Park. Don was born on May 7, 1937 in Braddock, the son of the late Michael and Elinore (Rumcik) Fabyonic. Don grew up in Trafford, PA and, upon marrying Marlene, moved to the family farm in Level Green. He designed and built their family home on the farm. After retiring as Project Manager of Jendeco Construction Company at the age of 55, he was able to pursue his passion full time of developing various real estate projects throughout Level Green. Don and Marlene enjoyed taking many road trips together and sometimes with no destination in mind. He loved spending time on his bulldozer and fixing things himself. Don was an active member of the St. Regis Church in Trafford all of his life and was a veteran of the US Army serving at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. Don is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Marlene (Tomajko) Fabyonic; his children, Mark, Donna and Chris Fabyonic and Lynn (Eric) Linn; his grandchildren, Alexandra and Hannah Linn, and Bryanna and Zachary Fabyonic; his brother, David (Janice) Fabyonic; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews. Don was preceded in death by his sister, Dolores (Fabyonic) Peer; and a nephew, Ronald Peer. HAROLD D. MCFEELY "HERK" Of Finleyville, on Monday, August 5, 2019, age 87. Beloved husband for 64 years of Donna (Strimlan) McFeely; loving father of Karen Smith (Timothy) and Mark McFeely (Merri-Kay); son of the late Alan and Toni Trax; brother of Earl Timothy Trax (Diane) and Mary Margaret Perdew (Paul); grandfather of Shawna, Justin, Nicole and Kayla; also several nieces and nephews. Herk was in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Peters Creek Baptist Church for over 50 years and served as a past-treasurer, Sunday school teacher, and sang in the choir. He was involved in the Sheltered Work Shop in Pittsburgh. Herk was a devote Christian and loved his Lord and family. RONALD JAMES CASKEY Passed peacefully in his sleep on Friday, August 2, 2019. Son of the late James and Marie Caskey; beloved husband of the late Frances Rose (Sulzer) Caskey; loving partner of Sara Zuniga; father of Mark (Marti) Caskey, Stephen (Duk and Sow) Caskey, Daniel (Trish) Caskey, Catie Caskey Cummings, Carie Caskey, Linda (Paul) Kostyak and the late Susan Caskey; loving grandfather of Maya and Melissa Caskey, Tala, Fluke and Fern Caskey, Johnny, Caila, Emma and Abbie Cummings, Luke and Alison Caskey and Sam and Hannah Kostyak; great-grandfather to Evie and Calvin Motto. Ron was born and raised in Donora and Pittsburgh's Oakland neighborhood. He graduated from Central Catholic and attended Duquesne University and then served in the US Navy during Korea. After serving his country, he returned and fell in love with his future wife, Fran. Ron was a Sales Executive for Eutectic Welding Alloys and Pitt Chemical, and moved to Charlotte and Winston Salem, NC in 1960, where they raised six loving children. In 1973, Ron was promoted to VP of Sales for Eutectic, and moved the family to Pittsburgh's Upper St. Clair Twp., and enrolled the kids into St. Louise de Marillac School, where he spent years coaching, volunteering and playing in the Men's Golf League. Ron was a huge Pittsburgh Sports Fan, still following his losing Pirates until he passed! Ron was the most peaceful, loving and understanding person that we know. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday 10:30 a.m. at St. Louise de Marillac Church. LOIS ANN (POTTS) WEISMANN Of Hampton Township, passed away on Monday, August 5, 2019. Born in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Alice (Lenhart) Potts. She was a Registered Nurse. Lois was the loving wife of Norman Weismann for 63 years and mother of Dennis (Diane) Weismann, Norma (Frank) Churilla, Don (Linda) Weismann, Maureen Schulteis, Janet (Bryan) Garnett and Patricia (James) Bridgeman. She was the special grandmother of Christopher, Richard, Erica, Aaron, Brandon, Joe, Bryanna, Michael and Jacob; sister of David (Sally) Potts. Lois's family will welcome friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, August 8, 2019, at KING FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 2841 Woodland Circle in Allison Park. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, August 9, 2019, at St. Ursula Church, 3937 Kirk Avenue in Allison Park. She will be laid to rest at St. Mary's Cemetery in Sharpsburg.
