HILLBECK FRANK THEODORE Son of the late Lloyd Hillbeck and Stella Pavlick, was born on April 18, 1927 in Turtle Creek, Pennsylvania. He worked at Westinghouse Atomic Power for 41 years and served in the United States Navy from May of 1945 to July of 1946. Frank was a member of the American Legion Post 820 for most of his 72 continuous years in the American Legion. He lived in Monroeville and retired to Carolina Beach, North Carolina, where he lived for 31 years. Frank and his wife, Sally Warner, were married 56 years. He is survived by four daughters, Jeri Hansen, Judy Weimer (Harry), Nancy Harris (Jim), and Donna Hillbeck (Gregg Zentarsky); ten grandchildren, Jennifer Beimel, Buddy and Chris Hansen, Becky Zahorchak, Alex Weimer, Allison and Brendan Murphy, Evan Harris, and Emma and Tess Zentarsky; and ?ve great-grandchildren, Zoe, Sebastian, Gregory, William, and Ashley. Although he was surrounded by women all of his life, he seemed to handle it happily and with humor. DEUTSCH CAROL LIENER Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 19, 2018, surrounded by her devoted and loving husband, Sidney Deutsch , and loving children and grandchildren, She was born in Midland, Pa. and raised in Farrell, Pa., where her parents operated a kosher butcher shop. She worked for Gulf Oil in Harmarville while attending the University of Pittsburgh and graduated Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas with a degree in Psychology, where her husband was stationed in the air force. She then went on to do graduate work in Psychology. She was a loving and beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a true Woman of Valor and and the ultimate Yiddishe Mama. She was always dedicated to justice, honesty and fairness throughout her life. She worked tirelessly for many Jewish causes that involved her children and bene?tted the community at large, such as Hillel Academy, Poale Zedeck and the Chevra Kadisha. She taught a group of Russian immigrants for many years to become comfortable with the English language both at her home and at the Anathan House. ZIOLKOWSKI CHRISTINE M. Age 90, peacefully passed away on December 18, 2018, in Doylestown, PA. She was born on March 21, 1928 in Pittsburgh, PA, the daughter of the late Helen and Frank Perhosky. Christine graduated from Scott Township High School, and then worked 20 years as a secretary at Allis- Chalmers. In 1965, she married Leonard Ziolkowski, her loving husband of 52 years, and became the caring, sel?ess mother to daughters, Maria and Natalie, making Dallas, PA their home. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by sisters, Ann Aurin, Mary Lyerly, Helen Perhosky; and brothers, Paul, Michael, Joseph, John, Leo, Frank, Walter, and baby Peter Perhosky; surviving are her daughters, Maria Ziolkowski of Doylestown, and Natalie Nettles and her husband, Richard, of New Hope, PA; two grandchildren, Owen and John Nettles; sister-in-law, Dr. Justine Perhosky; many nieces and nephews. Christine was strong in compassion and faith. She had a sincere, gentle spirit that others trusted in and sensed in her presence. Even in her ?nal days, she showed strength and care for others.
