Beloved wife of the late Ernest Zaloznik; loving mother of Arlene Zaloznik, Sandy (Larry) Gastgeb and Ernie (Debbie) Zaloznik; cherished grandmother of Wendi (Jon) Duffill, Tim (Amy) Gastgeb and Tim Zaloznik; great-grandmother of Nikolas, Aidan, Lily, Mason and Addison. Frances worked at Kane Hospital, and upon retirement, she traveled with the Bridgeville Senior Center and volunteered for Meals on Wheels and the Food Bank. She had a tremendous love for gardening. ZEFFIRO RUTH AGATHA (GLOECKL) Age 90, of Bethel Park, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on May 1, 2018. Loving wife of 55 years to the late Albert E. Zeffiro, Jr.; beloved mother of Michael (Janet), Barbara, Rose, and Jeffrey (Joann) Zeffiro; grandmother of Thomas (Jen), Andrew (Jessica), Elizabeth (Will) Lenthe, Victoria (James) Schreffler, and Phillip Zeffiro; great-grandmother of Amelia, Junie, and Carter Zeffiro; sister of the late Delores Keeling, the late Edward (Ruth survives) Gloeckl, Mary Margaret Hartner, and Joseph Gloeckl. Ruth was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her grandchildren and great- grandchildren were the joys of her life. She will be missed by all who knew her. BUTTERI SANDRA L. Age 71, of Beaver Falls, died Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at Good Samaritan Hospice. Born March 7, 1947 in Ellwood City, the daughter of the late Leroy and Myrtle (Goehring) Lintz. Sandra was a faithful Jehovah's Witness for over 50 years. Affectionately known as Nunny, she enjoyed her family, friends, and making people laugh. Surviving are her loving husband of almost 53 years, Charles Butteri; son, Shawn Butteri and his wife, Corrina; two grandchildren, Seth and Simone Butteri; and many nieces and nephews. She will be missed by her best friend Pat Medlen, who was always by her side. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Mary Elizabeth in infancy, Jane Lintz, Jean Rearick and Darlene Keul; and three brothers, John Lintz, David Lintz and Gerald Lintz. GOODEN JOHN E. Age 84, of Duquesne, Pennsylvania, passed away on Friday, April 27, 2018 in Canterbury Place. He was born December 8, 1933 in McKeesport, son of the late Thomas Gooden and Maggie Williams Gooden. He was preceded in death by daughter, Deborah Gooden; son, Eugene Comer; wife, Carrie Bell Gray Gooden; and sister, Rosetta Bennett. John was a member of Payne Chapel A.M.E., where he was a former Steward and former Class Leader. He was a member of three choirs within Payne Chapel A.M.E.—the Male Chorus, Gospel Chorus, and the Martineers. He was also a member of The Sons of Allen and was a former member of The Jewels. He retired from UPMC McKeesport Hospital. Left to cherish his memories are his children, Nickol Johnson of Verona, Eric Gooden of Duquesne, John Gooden of Jacob, FL, Erica Gooden of Clairton, Shirley Comer Knight of Clairton; 33 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren; siblings, Melvin Gooden of North Versailles, Alfred Gooden of Duquesne; adopted daughter, Joanne Turner; nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. ILGEN LENARD Age 98, of Tampa, formerly of Pittsburgh, PA, died Tuesday, the 1st of May, 2018. Born in 1919 in Centre County, PA, Lenard received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Penn State. He worked for Duquesne Light Co. in Pittsburgh for 43 years with a four year break to serve in the Navy during WWII where he was the Engineering Officer aboard a Destroyer Escort in the Pacific. Lenard was preceded in death by Marion Crow, Darline Neuhouser Ilgen, Christine Griscti Ilgen; his son, John Ilgen; and his daughter, Jeanne Ilgen (Sean Licka). He is survived by his daughter, Mary Hritz (David); and his son, Paul Ilgen (Elizabeth). Lenard is lovingly remembered by his seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He led by example, contributing to the community through work with the YMCA, Rotary International, Meals on Wheels, and his church. Lenard leaves behind a legacy of love, support and kindness, and will be greatly missed. DEITRICK LAURA JEAN Age 54, of Upper St. Clair, died peacefully on Wednesday, May 2, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of Richard E. Deitrick, Jr., for 27 years; loving mother of Michael, John and Zachary Deitrick; daughter-in-law of Linda Deitrick. Also survived by many brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and numerous nieces and nephews. Laura was born on June 19, 1963 in Orange County, California to Donald and Jean Soltysiak. Laura always took pleasure in many of life's simplest gifts. Such as going to beach, soaking in the sun and feet in the sand, and exercising daily by walking through the neighborhood. She will be remembered for radiant beauty inside and out, an avid Disney lover, and always watching her Saturday college football. Most of all, Laura's love always shined bright for her family. She was the proudest mother of her three sons, and wife to her best friend and love of her life. Funeral arrangements by BEINHAUERS. BOHAYCZYK PATRICIA L. (WEISNER) On Tuesday, May 1, 2018, age 68, of Coraopolis. Born in Sewickley on July 18, 1949, daughter of the late George F. and Dorothy C. (Hitt) Weisner; beloved sister of George E. Weisner (Kathy) and Dee Tosadori (Chris); Godmother to nephew, Christopher W. Tosadori; aunt to Deborah Weisner (Erik), Ann Marie Weisner (Scott), and Christine Lamb. Pat graduated from Coraopolis High School, received a degree in dental hygiene from the University of Pittsburgh and a Master's degree from Columbia University. She worked most of her career as a dental hygienist and was assistant director of dental hygiene at UCLA in the mid 70's. Pat will be sadly missed by her family and all who knew her. She was a sweet, gentle person whose smile would light up a room. Special thanks to the staff at Manor Care North Hills for their compassionate care. KING SHANA LEAH Age 44, died on Tuesday, May 1, 2018, from a drug overdose. Shana leaves us her wonderful son, Asher Foley King, 14; along with her parents, Judith and Stewart Sadowsky and Mark and Bonnie King; her sister, Abby and her husband, Matthew Bolton and their son, Bear Young Bolton; her brothers, Jeffrey Myers and Michael Reing; and sister, Michele Myers; her dear friend and the father of her son, Ryan Foley, and his parents, Jim and Donna Foley; also survived by her beloved Aunt Harriet; uncles, Jack and Jon; and wonderful cousins, Kathy, Susan, Greg, Gregory, Jackie, Emily, Rose, Amy, Marty, Adam, Lynne, and many other cousins. After years and years of (struggle and) heartbreak hanging on a thread of hope, it was not to be for Shana. ZEILER ALTHA A. Age 88, passed away after a nearly six year illness at Providence Point Retirement Community. Altha was employed as a secretary at the Pittsburgh financial firm of Reed Lear & Co. in 1947. She retired in 1996 from Smith Barney Morgan Stanley after 45 years of service. Daughter of William C. and Martha Deemer Zeiler of Lincoln Place. She is predeceased by her siblings, George W. Zeiler, Ronald G. Zeiler, and Janet Fedorchak. Altha is survived by her sister, Mrs. Lois Skrabut of Palm Coast, FL; and her cherished nieces and nephews. Altha enjoyed her poodles, ceramics, traveling, and visiting local casinos. LUSETICH DENNIS JAMES Of Wall, passed away Sunday, April 29, 2018, at the age of 62. He was the beloved husband of Joann (Praestus) Lusetich; and father of Danielle Lusetich, Anthony Lusetich, and Dennis Lusetich. Preceded in death by his parents, Anthony Lusetich and Virginia (Accardi) Lusetich; as well as his brothers, Anthony Lusetich and Jerry Lusetich. He is survived by his sisters, Anna Marie (Daniel) Jankovich, Clara “Dee” (Sal) Donato, and Virginia “Ginger” (Arthur) Anderson. Dennis was known best to love working with his hands, especially in carpentry; he was most proud of the house that he built with his own hands in his early twenties where his mother would eventually live years later. He also had a passion for driving and racing motorcycles as well as for cooking (family recipe) pasta sauces of which he shared with grateful family and friends. Those closest to him also knew of his deep love for each of his dogs throughout his lifetime. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday at 10 a.m. in St. Jude the Apostle Church. MASON ROBERT BOYD Age 93, of Mt. Lebanon, formerly of Murrysville, on May 1, 2018. Beloved husband of Virginia (Crouthamel) Mason; devoted father of Keith R. (Linda R.) Mason and the late Sandi Mason (Ken); cherished 'Pop' of Sean Robert and Gianna Maria Mason; brother of Leroy Mason (Edith), Katherine Stribe (Ralph), and the late Willard Mason (Alberta); also survived by many wonderful nieces and nephews. Bob was a proud Navy Veteran of World War II and a graduate of Carnegie Tech (now Carnegie Mellon University). He spent the majority of his career in management at West Penn Power Company. Robert was devoted to the love of his life – his wife of 66 years, Ginny. He was a man of faith and served as a trustee of the First United Methodist Church, Murrysville, an officer in the Lions Club, a volunteer for Meals on Wheels, as well as serving others in the community. Bob was an avid outdoorsman and was passionate about hunting, golfing, and particularly fly-fishing. He enjoyed keeping up with the stock market and most of all doting on his grandchildren.
