Martha Grace Marty Augostine, age 80, of Cranberry Twp., peacefully with her family by her side on April 4, 2018, while under the care of Family Hospice and Palliative Care in Mt. Lebanon, after a courageous battle with melanoma. Cherished wife of 61 years to Thomas Augostine; loving mother to Thomas Augostine, Jr. of Saxonburg, the late Sharon Augostine, and Michele (Ron) Cellone of Kennedy Twp.; precious grandmother to Angela (Mark) Vorp of Leechburg, and Nellie and Nicholas Cellone of Kennedy Twp.; beautiful sister of the late Thomas Diez; adoring aunt to Cathy (Steve) Dodson of Wellsboro and Becky (Anthony) Macioce of Verona; also survived by cousins and many treasured friends throughout the country. Martha was born November 6, 1937, in Oakmont, PA, daughter of the late Thomas Diez and Esther McDowell Diez. After raising her children, she attended nursing school and received her R.N. degree. Martha enjoyed working for many years at St. Francis Hospital in the medical surgical ICU unit. Her many hobbies included golfing, spending winters in Florida, gardening, attending Pirates games with her family, decorating, and reading. Martha was the picture of grace and compassion toward all living creatures. She truly loved her pets. Some of Martha's favorite memories are her vacations she shared with family and friends at the Deer Valley YMCA Family Camp over the past 45 years. She also enjoyed attending the Race for the Cure with her husband and daughters. Martha embraced life to the fullest, just six months ago she was dancing with her grandchildren in the mosh pit during the Rusted Root concert at Heartwood Acres. Though she will be sadly missed, we rejoice that she is in the presence of the Lord and is reunited with her daughter and many loved ones.
