BITTEL NATHAN DAVID Age 18, of Reserve Township, unexpectedly on Thursday, April 5, 2018. Beloved son of Kenneth W. and Beth A. (Garlicki) Bittel; brother of Trevor and Brendon Bittel; grandson of Geraldine and Wray Bittel and Jean and the late Raymond Garlicki; also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins; and his cat and companion, Panther. Nathan was a senior at Shaler Area High School and was enrolled in the culinary program at A.W. Beattie Career Center where he was following his dream of becoming a chef, he had plans to continue his culinary education at Hiram G. Andrews Center in Johnstown. Outside of school, Nathan loved volunteering at Animal Friends and his local church. Nathan also enjoyed Taco Bell, collecting antiques ranging from coins to military memorabilia, music, including playing his trumpet, and he was also a history buff that knew all of the past Presidents of the United States. AUGOSTINE MARTHA GRACE Heaven just received a beautiful soul… Martha Grace “Marty” Augostine, age 80, of Cranberry Twp., peacefully with her family by her side on April 4, 2018, while under the care of Family Hospice and Palliative Care in Mt. Lebanon, after a courageous battle with melanoma. Cherished wife of 61 years to Thomas Augostine; loving mother to Thomas Augostine, Jr. of Saxonburg, the late Sharon Augostine, and Michele (Ron) Cellone of Kennedy Twp.; precious grandmother to Angela (Mark) Vorp of Leechburg, and Nellie and Nicholas Cellone of Kennedy Twp.; “beautiful sister” of the late Thomas Diez; adoring aunt to Cathy (Steve) Dodson of Wellsboro and Becky (Anthony) Macioce of Verona; also survived by cousins and many treasured friends throughout the country. Martha was born November 6, 1937, in Oakmont, PA, daughter of the late Thomas Diez and Esther McDowell Diez. After raising her children, she attended nursing school and received her R.N. degree. Martha enjoyed working for many years at St. Francis Hospital in the medical surgical ICU unit. Her many hobbies included golfing, spending winters in Florida, gardening, attending Pirates games with her family, decorating, and reading. Martha was the picture of grace and compassion toward all living creatures. She truly loved her pets. Some of Martha's favorite memories are her vacations she shared with family and friends at the Deer Valley YMCA Family Camp over the past 45 years. She also enjoyed attending the Race for the Cure with her husband and daughters. Martha embraced life to the fullest, just six months ago she was dancing with her grandchildren in the “mosh pit” during the Rusted Root concert at Heartwood Acres. Though she will be sadly missed, we rejoice that she is in the presence of the Lord and is reunited with her daughter and many loved ones. Family and friends are invited to attend a gathering beginning at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 14, 2018, until the time of her Memorial Service at 12 p.m. noon at the Christ Episcopal Church, 5910 Babcock Blvd., Pittsburgh, PA 15237, with the Rev. She was born in Duquesne on October 18, 1938, and was the daughter of the late John and Ann Vircik Files and the wife of the late John E. Artim. She was a member of St. Robert Bellarmine Church and was employed by Pizza Hut in North Versailles until her retirement. TURANI DOLORES Age 87, of Weirton, passed away Thursday, April 5, 2018, in Weirton Medical Center. She was born July 21, 1930, in Pittsburgh, PA, a daughter of the late Herbert and Mary Murray Schoeneman. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Herbert and Philip Schoeneman; and sister, Rosemarie Lizanich. Mrs. Turani attended both St. Joseph and St. Paul Catholic churches. She loved to dance and enjoyed going to the casinos with her family and friends. Dolores is survived by her husband, Haki "Spike" Turani of Weirton; sister, Carol Manuel of Gibsonia, PA; and several nieces and nephews. HARDING AVERY T. Age 46, a Crescent resident since 1998, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home on Thursday, April 5, 2018. He was born in Pittsburgh on July 29, 1971. Beloved husband for 14 years to Sandi (Butera) Harding; cherished son of Sondra Picard and Arthur (Stephanie) Harding, all of Moon Township; loving brother of Arthur Harding, Jr. of Canonsburg and the late Alana Cope; son-in-law of Chuck and Donna Butera of Moon Township; brother-in-law of Jennifer (Kevin) Edwards of Center; several nieces and nephews; his best buddy, John; and last but not least, his adored golden retriever, Watson. Avery was a member of Victory Family Church. He loved all kinds of music and was a talented drummer and musician. Avery was funny, possessing an ability to make anyone laugh. He had a wonderful disposition, was kind-hearted and touched everybody's heart. Avery will be greatly missed, and we ask that you keep his family in prayer. Preceded in death by brothers, Nicholas, John, Vincent Mospan; and sister, Patricia. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Muskie was retired from Bethlehem Steel as a maintenance worker. Muskie was a avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed watching the Steelers and Penguins. He loved going to flea markets, but most of all he loved spending time with his family and enjoyed a good meal. She is survived by her husband, Col. (Ret) Lawrence Ondovchik with whom she graduated high school, North Braddock Scott High School Class of 64. After living at a number of duty stations, they retired in Newnan, GA, in 1996, where they resided at the time of her death. She is also survived by her daughter, Dara L. (husband Jason) Thomas; son, Matthew P. Ondovchik and son, L. Scott Ondovchik. Surviving grandchildren are Colin W. Thomas, Noelle L. Thomas, Eliza C. Thomas, and Leila Ann Ondovchik; siblings, James Phillips of Las Vegas, NV, and sister, Maureen Butts of West Hickory, PA. BROWN FRANCES “FRAN” P. Fran, age 77, of Monaca, died Friday, April 6, 2018, in her daughter's home. She was born October 8, 1940, a daughter of the late Stanley and Pearl Dombowski Spychalski. Fran was previously employed as a retail clerk at T.J.'s in Oakdale where she had lived for 48 years. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. Surviving are her children, Craig Brown of North Fayette Twp., Scott (Sandy) Brown of Robinson, Eric (Amy) Brown of Cranberry, and Kim (Jon) Fadzen of Beaver; grandchildren, Alex and Abby Brown; brother, Stanley (Irene) Spychalski; sisters, Dolores Fox, Sandy Beck, and Carol Kopec. KARPA SAMUEL J. Age 90, a longtime resident of Kennedy Twp., peacefully on Thursday evening, March 5, 2018, with his family by his side. Beloved husband of 63 years to Dorothy Karpa; dear father of Alison (Glen) Hall and Lynn (Gene) Ricciardi; grandfather of Alissa (Ben) Rudolph Verney, James Rudolph and Nina Ricciardi; son of the late Samuel and Esther Karpa; brother of the late Steve Karpa, Raymond Karpa, Genevieve Telipsky, Olga DiMichel, Walter Cooper, Mary Yakubik, John Karpa, Rose Karpa and Peter Karpa. Also survived by many nieces and nephews and other family members. Sam was a lifetime member of several chiefs of police associations, he was a retired chief of police of Kennedy Twp. He was very proud of his Ukrainian heritage and was devoted to his church, St. Mary's Ukrainian Orthodox Church. Sam loved to play the harmonica every chance he could. VIDT PAMELA “PAM” ANN KELLEY Went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ while visiting family in North Carolina, on Tuesday, April 3, 2018. Pam was a native of Fayetteville County, PA, and the daughter of Henry D. and Doris C. Kelley of Greensburg, PA. She was a member and retired Preschool teacher at Elfinwood Presbyterian Church, in Glenshaw, PA. Her greatest love was being the wife of Dr. Louis G. Vidt, of Allison Park, PA, for over 44 years; a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. Pam was predeceased by her parents, and leaves to cherish her memory besides her husband, two daughters, Dr. Meghan Elise Vidt of State College, PA, and Stacey Elizabeth Vidt (Brent) DiGiacomo, of Greensboro, NC; and a grandson, Robert Lucas “Luke” DiGiacomo, of Greensboro, NC; she also leaves a sister, Cheryl Kelley (James “Jim”) Deaner; a niece, Jessica Deaner (Matt) Faircloth; and two nephews, Christopher and Matthew (Britany) Deaner, all of Hedgesville, WVA. A celebration of Pam's life will follow a visitation from 1:30-3:30 p.m. Sunday, April 8, 2018, at the KING FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, in Allison Park. The service will be at 4 p.m. There will be a private burial service. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes donations to be made to the Elfinwood Presbyterian Church, Preschool at 3200 Mount Royal Blvd., Glenshaw, PA 15116, or to a charity of one's choice. McCLAIN ALMA JASICK 96, of Pittsburgh, passed away on April 6, 2018. Wife of the late William Jasick and Robert McClain; mother of Katherine Blanchard and Denise Kausler; grandmother of Danielle Kausler McKenzie; and great-grandmother of Silas. Family and friends will be received on Sunday, from 12-3 p.m. at the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 301 Curry Hollow Rd., Pleasant Hills, 15236.
