CONWAY JUDITH ANN (GERHEIM) On March 24, 2018, the angels came to take Judy to her Heavenly home. She was surrounded by those who loved her most and will miss her more than words can say. She is survived by her beloved husband, Thomas, who shared her life for almost 50 years. She was a loving mother to her children, Merry Lee, Tommy, Jr., and Michael. She was an ever doting grandmother to Ivy, Sean, James, and Payton. She enjoyed her close relationship with her nieces and nephews, Dori, Scott, Luke, and Jennifer; her cousins, Gwen and Mickey; and her sisters-in-law were an important part of her life. She was the daughter of the late Phillip and Helen Gerheim. She was the sister to her deceased siblings, Merry Lee, Phillip “Butch”, and Daryl. The prevailing theme in her life was family. She had a fierce love and strong devotion to all of them. She never missed a game or play or a program. She served as a Girl Scout and Den Mother for the Cub Scouts. She enjoyed the mountains of Pennsylvania and the scenic beauty of Maine. Most of all, she enjoyed sharing happy times at “Camp” with her family. In her professional life, she worked for various mortgate companies as a loan consultant. In her later years, she dealt with illness with courage and quiet determination. Our family is very grateful to Shadyside Hospital for the caring professionalism they provided over the years. The Cardiac Rehabilitation Unit offered loving encouragement and support. She was treated like family and we felt blessed. Friends received 4-8 p.m. TUESDAY ONLY at the THOMAS L. NIED FUNERAL HOME, INC., 7441 Washington St., Swissvale.
