STEPP JAMES JIM AGE 76, OF B...
STEPP JAMES JIM Age 76, of Butler County, Pennsylvania, died Friday, February 2, 2018 at his son's home in Sewickley, PA, surrounded by his family and friends. Born at the Butler Memorial Hospital on September 26, 1941, he was the son of the late Arthur and Mildred Marie (Rivers) Stepp. He is survived in life by his three children, Jeffrey Stepp (of Cranberry), Tyler Stepp (of Sewickley) and Rochelle Stepp (of Zelienople); and many, many loving relatives, dear friends and fur babies (especially Maddox & Nuggie). Retiring from the military after 20+ years of service, Jim was the founder and owner of J&D Lawn and Tractor, Inc. in Wexford, PA. He successfully operated J&D for more than 50 years and has left it in the hands of his son, Tyler Stepp. Anyone that knew Jim, understood that he adored his 134 acre camp in Aleppo, PA; it was his retreat, his sanctuary and his pride and joy. While at camp, he cherished watching the annual return of the Purple Martin population to their high-rise community and the Humming Birds to their apple-tree haven, and, most of all, he enjoyed tending to his ever-producing vegetable garden. Springtime at camp was the most colorful time, with Jim's endless spring bulbs bursting into a vast rainbow of annual blooms. Once the autumn arrived, camp was transformed into Jim's Hunting Camp, with an open door to so many family and friends. One of Jim's greatest pleasures included hosting everyone under one roof with the mutual goal of getting a big buck; he could cook with the best of 'um. Memorial services for Jim will be held at 9:00am, Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at the SCHELLHAAS & SONS FUNERAL HOME & CREMATIONS SERVICES, INC., at 1600 Stone Mansion Drive, Sewickley, PA 15143 (Franklin Park/Wexford), with pastor Jeff Lawther (of LifePointe Alliance Church, Franklin Park Campus) officiating.
