DOBBINS EILEEN C. “LYNN” Heaven welcomed one of it's finest today. Eileen Dobbins, known to many as “Lynn”, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 22, 2015, surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of the late Mark Dobbins; loving mother of Lisa D. (Joseph) Knodle, Mark Dobbins and Kimberly Dobbins; dear sister of the late Robert Burns; cherished grandmother of Joseph Ross “JR” Knodle. Eileen was born in 1926, in Detroit, MI, where she spent her early years working for the Ford Motor Co. She then embarked on an exciting career as a vocalist for the big bands of the day. Eileen entertained many a room with her beautiful voice and later even toured with the U.S.O. After marrying and settling in the Pittsburgh area with her three children, Eileen went to work for the Upper St. Clair School District where she was a fixture for 42 years. She loved working amongst the students and made many lifelong friends. Eileen was also an active member of her community and church and was loved and admired by all who knew her. She had a beauty, wit and grace that would light up any room. Her strength, spirit and smile were just a few of her signature trademarks. She was the heart and soul of her family and her absence will leave an unfillable void. Funeral arrangements by BEINHAUERS. Friends welcome to celebrate her life at 2828 Washington Rd., McMurray, 724-941-3211, on Tuesday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday 11 a.m. in St. John Capistran Church.
