
RESNIK FLORENCE CATHERINE Age 89, of White Oak, died on October 15, 2014, surrounded by her family at her residence. She was born in Camden, NJ, on January 4, 1925, and was the daughter of the late Adolph and Catherine Rodgers Rossing. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Charles E. Resnik; sons, Charles and Daniel Resnik; siblings, John, Arthur, and Robert Rossing, Betty Donelson and Ruth Lardin. A former employee of Bell Telephone and a founding member of St. Angela Merici Church, she was a loving, devoted stay at home mom and the best chef, baker and canner in town. She was also a Den Mother for the Cub Scouts for many years. She is survived by sons, John (Eva) Resnik of Lincoln Boro, Bernie Resnik of Shadyside, and Kevin (Kris) Resnik of White Oak; daughters, Mary Kay (Sudhir) Narla of Jefferson Hills, Faith Ann Resnik of White Oak, and Susan (Anthony) Mejalli of West Mifflin; grandchildren, Charlie, Hannalea, Kevin, Jr. (Megan), Nick, and Mike Resnik, Sunil and Sonya Narla, and Rachel, Gabby, and A.J. Mejalli; great-grandchild, Carter Resnik; she is also survived by her caregiver for many years, Bee Najos. Friends will be received at STRIFFLERS OF WHITE OAK CREMATION & MORTUARY SERVICES, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412-678- 6177) on Friday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday at St. Angela Merici Church at 9 a.m. with Father Kevin Dominik officiating.
