ANTONOPLOS ANASTASIA 96, passed away peacefully Friday, July 19, 2013 in Hilliard, Ohio. Mrs. Antonoplos was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on June 16, 1917. She was educated in Greece. She is preceded in death by her husband Anthony P. Antonoplos; her son Dr. Peter A. Antonoplos; her brothers George Langas (Florida) and Dino Langas (Greece). She is survived by her son William and daughter- in- law Jan of Dublin, daughter- in- law Barbara Antonoplos of Dayton, Ohio; three grandsons, Dr. Anthony Antonoplos and his wife Beth of Cincinnati, Ohio, William A. Antonoplos of Columbus and Michael W. Antonoplos, of Dublin. She is also survived by her sisters, Helen Diamantides and Lula Stavropoulos; half brother Nick Sayias in Greece; as well as her nieces and nephew Helen Fischer, Roi Livathinos, Rena Symeonides, Aliki Bethanis in Greece and Rita Wilson of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Ellen Langas, Michael J. Antonoplos, Ana Biddle and Barbara Borgerson of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; and many grandnieces and grandnephews in the United States and Greece Mrs. Antonoplos was active in Republican politics for many years. Her husband Anthony served as Mayor of Sidney, Ohio. Because of her love for animals, the family is asking that memorial contributions be made in her name to the Humane Society of Delaware County, 4920 St. Rt. 37, Delaware, Ohio 43015.
