RACHEL D'URSO PROPOGGIO On Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at age 86. Daughter of the late Caesar and Saveria D'Urso of Regent Square and North Braddock; wife of the late Geno Propoggio; mother of Laura Propoggio and Dr. Susan Propoggio (Dr. Craig Vigliante); proud grandmother of Olivia and Vivien Vigliante; sister of the late Caesar Gus D'Urso (Nadine) and Mariann Pelaia (late Bruno); also survived by many nieces and nephews. Originally from North Braddock and then Edgewood, Rachel was a proud graduate of the University of Pittsburgh where she received her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in English. A former high school English teacher, she taught in the North Braddock High School which later became Woodland Hills High School. During the summer months prior to her marriage, she taught English at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She enjoyed reading, spending time with friends, and especially time with her granddaughters. Due to the pandemic, there will be no public visitation. The family welcomes you to join them for the funeral, on Monday, September 28, 2020, when a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Paul Cathedral at 10:00 A.M. Arrangements by JOHN A.
