GEORGE B. MOTTINGER Age 67, of Glenshaw, passed on Wednesday, May 13, 2020 . George was born in Sandy Lake, PA where he and his twin brother, John (67, of Franklin Park), ran wild among the trees and lakes, riding their horses and playing baseball. In his early teen years, the family moved to the North Hills of Pittsburgh to relocate their growing business. George attended the North Allegheny School District where he made many friends and was a happy, busy young man. George went on to attend college in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan to prepare him to join the family business, J.C. Mottinger Assoc., Inc. Sadly, before his adult life had truly begun, he suffered a terrible automobile accident that left him with a brain injury and severe mobility issues for the remainder of his life. In spite of this, George maintained an incredible sense of humor that his friends and family will remember. George adored his parents, his cat, LC, music, muscle cars and Pittsburgh sports, especially the Pittsburgh Pirates and Roberto Clemente. George was preceded in death by his parents, John C. and Georgia L. Mottinger, and his sister-in-law, Dawn A Mottinger. He is survived by his twin brother, John; niece, Carrie (Matthew Burdy); nephews, John (Tracy) and Christopher (Maureen) Mottinger, all of Pittsburgh; and his much-loved great-niece, Olive. The family also wishes to recognize David and Sandra Octavi who cared for and loved George as their own. In light of the current pandemic, no funeral service is scheduled.
