
PILARSKI JOSEPH A. Age 83, of Shaler Twp., formerly of Sharpsburg, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 12, 2014, with his loving wife of 62 years by his side. The son of the late Anthony and Irene (Rolewicz) Pilarski; he was the beloved husband of Inez (Wittman); devoted father of Karen, Keith (Paulette), Sandra (Rich) Aluise and Glenn (Lisa); proud grandfather of Angela, Tiffany, Mark, Sara and Jessica; great-grandfather of Zachary, Jacob, Katelynn, Kain, Damien, Cavin and Brayden. Preceded in death by grandchildren, Jason and Shannon; brother of Florence Eichner. Joe was a proud Korean War veteran who was honorably discharged from the Marine Corps having earned the rank of Sergeant along with receiving numerous accolades for his courage and devotion to his country. He was actively involved within the community in Sharpsburg having coached youth baseball and served as Boy Scout Master of Troop 45. Friends received TUESDAY from 1-9 p.m. at WORRELL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 820 Main St., Sharpsburg. Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday 10 a.m. at St. Juan Diego Parish, Sharpsburg in St. Mary Church.
