CONROY ROBERT P. On Sunday, March 16, 2014. Beloved husband of the late Mary Louise Joyce Conroy; father of Thomas J. Conroy, Eileen M. Conroy, Mary Lou Conroy (John Sufca) and the late Patricia Ann Conroy; grandfather of Kelly M. Conroy-Hosack (Mike); great- grandfather of Jordan Hosack; brother of the late Michael Conroy and Thomas Conroy, who gave his life in the U.S. Army during WWII. "Bobby" was a retired Sergeant with the Pittsburgh Police Department and a member of FOP Lodge #1, and the Pittsburgh Police Emerald Society. A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, he survived his time as a German POW, earned a Purple Heart and Bronze Star for his service, and was a member of the VFW and American Legion. A proud member of AOH Division 9's "Oakland Irish, Bob served as the 2010 Grand Marshall of Pittsburgh's St. Patrick's Day parade, never missing a parade until yesterday. In his retirement, Bob served as a volunteer at St. Regis Church and worked until he was 82 as an usher at the Civic Arena. Friends will be received at JOHN A.
