KENNEDY JAMES C. Age 79, of Pittsburgh, peacefully passed away surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, March 22, 2018. James is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Margaret Kennedy; cherished father of Dawn (Arch) Scapes, Christine (Mel) Montilla and Paula (Dan) Bell; adored Pap-Pap of Jennifer Scapes, Emily (Roy) Lindley, Holly Scapes, Melissa (Zack) Neubert, Kristen Fisher, DJ Bell and Morgan Bell; great-grandfather of Wyatt Lindley, Evelyn Lindley, Mark Neubert and Mason Neubert; brother of Lynn Carradine and uncle to Joel Carradine. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Grace Kennedy. James was an avid hunter, fisherman and a lifelong Pittsburgh Penguins fan. Above all, he was a loving family man who will be forever remembered. Family and friends will be received on Friday, March 23, 2018, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 301 Curry Hollow Rd., Pleasant Hills, 15236. A Blessing Service will be held Saturday, March 24, 2018, at 11:30 a.m., in the funeral home's chapel.
