JAMES HERBERT B. Of East End, age 86, on Monday, February 24, 2014. Beloved husband of the late Mary Eva (Villi); beloved father of Catherine Mowry (Gene), Elizabeth Keyser, Theresa Burger, Herbert James III (Debbie), John B. James (Sharon), Mary E. James Ruffner, Joyce McCully (Dale), Denise James, Lorri Simmers (Ed), and Yvonne Wingard (Jeff); brother of the late Francis James, Theresa James, John James, Katherine Hickey, and Elizabeth Hribar; also survived by numerous grandchildren and many great- grandchildren. Preceded in death by his granddaughter, Melissa Rae Turley. Herbert was a retired City of Pittsburgh detective for 38 years, member of the F.O.P. Lodge #1, also the owner and operator of James Floral Gift Shoppe of Wilkinsburg. He was a wonderful, thoughtful father and generous to many. Visitation Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the FINDLAY C.
