WILLIAMS MARJORIE JOHNSON BOWERS On Sunday, September 3, 2017, Marjorie Johnson Bowers Williams, peacefully went home to be with the Lord. Born in Halifax, NC to the late Cupid and Louise Johnson, the eldest of seven children. September 9, 1943, Marjorie married the late Arnold Harvey Bowers. Marjorie became a homemaker when she married the late Rev. Elmer Louis Williams, a widower on June 12, 1962. Mother of Arnolda Janet (Dr. Wayne) McElveen, Gail (Rev. John) Burney, Rhonda (late Dr. Sylvester), Dr. Yvette (Eugene), Ellie (Rev. Steve) Tucker, Lydia Carter, Glenn (Shawn); and nephew, Dr. Vincent Daniels (Melanie); sisters, Evelyn and Dolores Johnson; 24 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
