FRELICHE HAROLD J. HAL Age 83, formerly of Penn Hills, passed away on Saturday, July 8, 2017. Son of the late Naomi and Harry Freliche; loving father of Brett (Amber) Freliche, also Lisa, Laura, and Jimmy; brother of William (Eileen) Freliche and Norma (Harry) Zimmer; also many nieces, nephews, and friends, with whom he visited during his happy holiday visits to Pittsburgh. After growing up in Penn Hills, he attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where he was a member of the football team. Upon graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy, attending Officer Candidate School, then proceeding to Flight School. He served with pride and devotion in the Navy for eleven years, including two tours of duty in Vietnam. Following his Navy service, he was employed by Caterpillar in Peoria, IL, where he resided until his death. Friends received at the WEDDELL -AJAK FUNERAL HOME, 100 Center Ave., Aspinwall, on Sunday, July 16, 2017, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m., where a parting prayer will be held Monday at 9:45 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph Church, O'Hara Twp.
