RUSSO ANTHONY A., Sr. On Wednesday, July 12, 2017, with family at his side, age 94, of Swissvale. Beloved husband of 31 years to Margaret Peggy Russo and the late Margaret L. Russo; loving father of Anthony A. Russo, Jr. and his wife, Linda and Carmine E. Russo and his wife, Iva; stepfather of William Molyneaux and his wife, Ginny; dear Pappy of eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren; brother of the late Carmine, Andy, Lil, and Sam Russo; also beloved by many nieces and nephews. Anthony was a World War II Navy Veteran, a member of many organizations, including Knights of Columbus, American Legion, VFW, and also delivered Meals-on-Wheels in Swissvale for many years. He was a longtime member and former usher at Madonna del Castello Roman Catholic Church. He served his community as a Swissvale Borough Councilman for 16 years and 27 years on the Board of Directors for the Wilkinsburg-Penn Joint Water Authority. He will be greatly missed.
