TIMKO MARY B. Peacefully on Monday, January 20, 2014, Mary (Banyas) Timko, age 97, formerly of Braddock Hills, PA, at Kane Regional Center, Scott Twp. Beloved wife for over 50 years to the late Andrew P. “Aggie” Timko. Born on August 24, 1916, in Homestead, PA, she was the daughter of the late George and Mary Hudak Banyas. Until she required nursing assistance, Mrs. Timko was an active member of St. Anselm Catholic Church, Word of God Parish in Swissvale. She was a past Grand Regent of the Catholic Daughters of Swissvale, and a member of the St. Anselm Christian Mothers. She bowled in various leagues in the Swissvale area for over 50 years, retiring from bowling when she turned 90. Mary also volunteered at the former Braddock Hospital for many years. Mrs. Timko is survived by three sons, Ronald Timko and wife, Cheryl, of Strongsville, OH, Andrew “Tim” Timko and wife, Sandra, of North Beach, MD, and Lawrence Timko and wife, Judy, of Frederick, MD; she is also survived by six grandchildren, Kimberly Johnson, Mark Timko and wife, Michelle, Brian Timko and wife, Stephanie, Stacey Rice and husband, David, Elizabeth Ray and husband, Paul, and Patricia Kinser and husband, Brock; and eight great- grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brothers, John, George, and Andrew Banyas; and her sister, Anna Galas. Family will receive friends at the THOMAS L. NIED FUNERAL HOME, 7441 Washington Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15218, on Friday, January 24, 2014, from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. Burial following service in All Saints Cemetery, Braddock Hills.
