MATTA SHARIE MAY (OLACK) Of Liberty Boro, passed away gracefully on to her new life with God on Monday, May 22, 2017. Sharie was born on February 3, 1975 to Karen (Todd) and John (Jack) Olack. She married the love of her life, Chris Matta on May 3, 2008, and they had two beautiful children, Kenadie and Jake. Sharie worked as a recreational therapist at Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic and UPMC McKeesport for 17 years. After attending Slippery Rock University, she went on to further her education at The University of Pittsburgh with a Master's Degree in Recreational Therapy. She had a brilliant mind for educating and assisting others in need. She loved her work and all the people she worked with over her career. Out of all of her accomplishments, being a loving wife and wonderful mother to her children were her true calling. Sharie will be remembered with love by her brother, Jay Olack. She was a very special sister-in-law to Melissa Matta, William Leiendecker, Michael Leiendecker and John Leiendecker. Sharie was a very special daughter-in-law to Ken and Colleen Leiendecker. Her many nieces and nephews will miss her Christmas cookies, art work, and her zest for life. Friends and family will be accepted at JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME in Pleasant Hills on Thursday, May 25, 2017, from 2 p.m. - 9 p.m. The funeral will be held at St. Therese church in Munhall on Friday, May 26, 2017, at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to UPMC Hillman Cancer Center in Sharie's name.
