GOTTARDI JANET ANN (KAPP) Of Murphy, Texas passed away January 9, 2014 at the age of 68. She was born January 26, 1945 to Bernard W. Kapp and Gladys (Smith) Kapp in Braddock, Pennsylvania. She married Peter J. Gottardi on May 29, 1965 in East McKeesport, Pennsylvania. Janet graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1966 and taught elementary school for several years. She served in numerous charitable organizations including Meals on Wheels, PEO International, and Women & Children in Crisis. Janet was very active in church activities, was an exercise buff, and had a passion for tennis and golf. She influenced many with her kind and loving spirit. Janet is survived by her husband, Peter Gottardi of Murphy, Texas; children, James Gottardi and wife Vicki, their children Anna, David and Claire of Austin, Texas; Julie Garriga and husband Greg, their children Scott, Matthew and Thomas of Murphy, Texas; Jerry Gottardi of Breaux Bridge, Louisiana; siblings, Ken Kapp of Pennsylvania, Bern Kapp of Delaware, Terri Miller of Florida, and James Kapp of Pennsylvania; and a host of other family members. A Memorial Mass and Celebration of Life will be held in Grand Lake, Oklahoma.
