STILLSON ANTHONY JOHN AJ Age 77, of Chincoteague Island, VA, formerly of Pittsburgh, PA, passed away suddenly on April 16, 2016, at his residence. He was born in Pittsburgh, PA, on June 29, 1938, to the late Gordon and Nell (Barbee) Stillson. He graduated from Carnegie-Mellon School of Architecture. After college he studied abroad at Fountainebleau in France. He was recognized as one of the top three architects in the country. He was an avid sail boat fan and piano player. Anthony is survived by his wife, Deborah Stillson of Pittsburgh, PA; two daughters, April Barbee Stillson of Chincoteague Island, VA, Lisa Kahler Smith and her husband, David of Chincoteague Island, VA; grandson, Anthony Maxwell Stillson of Baltimore, MD; brother, Geoffrey Stillson of Pittsburgh, PA; one niece and one nephew. He was preceded in death by his father, Gordon Hamilton Stillson; and mother, Nell Stillson. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2016, 2:00 p.m. at the SALYER FUNERAL HOME, INC., Chincoteague Island, VA with Rev. Maurice Enright, officiating. Visitation will be held a hour prior to service from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Burial will take place in the Daisey Cemetery on Chincoteague Island, VA.
